The Chariot play a house show in Perth.

For those of you that are not aware of the music scene here in blessed Perth, Western Australia, the venue you see at the start of the video is that magical little place that every teenager with either a fringe/plugs/neckpubes frequently visits for their weekly dose of hardcore crap.

This does not reflect on the overall Perth metal scene - it is in fact nothing to do with the Perth metal scene. Please do not shun us thusly. We know how to br00tz properly, honest.

No one said this had anything to do with metal, and I'm sure there are members of this forum who like hardcore, including The Chariot. This thread was intended for them, or anyone interested.

So don't worry, no one is going to get the wrong idea. And btw, I like our metal scene too.

Didn't these guys play at Amps on Saturday night as well? Noticed a hell of a lot of people that looked like they'd be fans of this sort of thing wandering around the area.

I played all 3 of these shows, it was a hell of a lot of fun and The Chariot are most definitely not your generic run of the mill metalcore crap. Had a great time with the dudes from the band as well, really nice guys.

And since I've never plugged my band on this forum, http://www.facebook.com/statuesau
we have a 7'' up for free download :)

There's honestly lots of really cool bands both sides of the spectrum don't over generalise! I think I've experienced just as much crap from either side as well lol. Perths really not big enough to divide the heavy music community, that being said if a few of the emmure clone bands stopped playing music that'd be ok.

THIS IS BEYOND AMAZING! It's everything that that kind of show should be TBH

Everything I hear about perth and music seems to be rad. I met the guys from MAK THEM SUFFER at the venue I do F.O.H at and they seemed like a rather awesome bunch of dudes. Their engineer Troy is excellent too.

fuck I wish my band could pack out someones house and destroy like this!

My band played another show there about 2 months back for To write love on her arms, it was awesome. Crazy christian kids man. Jeff its actually really funny the guy who owns the house goes to the neighbors and explains that its a christian thing and they are all like, "awesome that's so great!"

Looks amazing!
Makes me wish I could still do that type of stuff.

Also reminds me why I love all ages and under age shows, kids generally know how party.
Shit I've played shows where I've BARELY played guitar and they were some of the best show I've ever played, fuck being tight and precise, have a good time and go the fuck off.

The heavy scene in Perth is kinda divided between the extreme metal and hardcore scene, but I think that's the same everywhere you go. The hardcore/metalcore scene tends to pick up bigger crowds though. Mind you, my band'll be playing at HQ Leederville on May 28th. It's going to be something different having to deal with the breakdown kids since my band has no breakdowns, and we don't play hardcore/metalcore.

Hey man, I've checked out your band before, really liked it! Who are you playing with on the 28th?

Thanks for the support!

As far as I know it's still under works by the Blunt Force Trauma blokes. They're still trying to confirm a few more to complete the line up for now and I think they've also got a hardcore/metalcore band playing but I'm not too sure which one.
