The Clone Wars

I wish this had been a live action movie. Star Wars needs moar live action... I mean DO A FUCKING LIVE ACTION VERSION OF KNIGHT OF THE OLD REPUBLIC!!

are you all fucking insane? i saw ads for this movie when i was watching tv and it seriously sounds and looks like they took starwars and made it a kids movie. it looked like the plot centered around some whiney bitch and she was whining about wanting to become a jedi and it seriously seemed like your typical disney movie.

This could be true. I'll see it anyways, just because I am a huge fucking SW fan. But I'll sneak into it after Tropic Thunder so if it sucks I won't be out any money

This is quite possible, but I'm hoping you'll be wrong. I can't imagine it being a complete waist of time as long as it has Sith (which it does), lightsaber fights (which it does), and at least one big battle (which I believe it does).

That'd be cool, but what I'd really like is a movie based of the Legacy comics, which is the most compelling EU storyline imo.

I am a huge fucking SW fan.

Lets just say I'm seriously contemplating getting either the Imperial Insignia or the Mandalorian skull tattooed somewhere on my body.

Never actually read that, I'll check it out though... I know the KotOR storyline isn't that great but I think it'd make a badass movie since the games were fucking amazing.

Woah, woah... I'm not that big a fan.. well I am  but I just hate tattoos in general. If you do get a tattoo go with some badass obscure reference... when I get time to think I might have a cool suggestion for you... but off the top of my head I'd say get a lightsabre tattooed on your erect cock so that when it goes flaccid you can only see the hilt. I would suck you dick if you got that. Bonus point for making the sound effects of the lightsabre being activated when you get hard.

Definitely recommend it for any star wars fan. Its a mite darker than any of the films for sure, I love it.

If that wasn't such an awesome idea I'd call you a fag.

Yeah, I just downloaded the Legacy of the Force books which are apparently the pre-cursor to the comics you suggested, so I'll be getting those next... um, what would be a good book(s) to read that takes place immediately after Return of the Jedi?

Hmmm well I haven't read any of the actual novels in a long time, the Rogue Squadron books are alright from what I remember. They start out right before RotJ, and continue after it. The Thrawn Trilogy is supposedly pretty good, that takes place like 5 years after RotJ, but I haven't gotten around to reading those.

Heartless! You're here!

Well I have lurked here for a while on and off, like the forum, and the people, just not the band it represents

Yeah I haven't read any either but I'd like to start in my free time, but I want to start right were Episode 6 ends or somewhere around there. I'll look at those books, thanks!

Oh, I agree. Nevermore fucking suck and age like milk. But we aren't here to discuss them!

Come on, stay...I'll give you drugs.

But then, by your logic, you must like Children of Bodom.

Away with you Heartless, shoo pest.

I liked Bodom, but the good music they made I listened to it way too much and now I really just have them on a shelf in my mind as a memory. I might stay here, although my musical tastes probably will clash with the popular kids on the board, seems like a lot of pretentious progsnob faggots dwell here. No matter

isnt this what they already did with episodes 1-3!?

^HEY!... I liked Episodes 1-3... RotS was pretty fucking bad, as was the beginning of TPM but the battle with Maul makes up for it... all three movies have theirs moments, I have a few problems with each but overall I enjoyed them for what they were. Ofcourse, they are pure shit compared to the originals but is because:

1) The originals had a much broader story, where so much was assumed... a lot of things mentioned where never even shown in the films, they were just 'history' we could imagine. It made things more real, and let us imagine much more to the story that wasn't even present. When you narrowed things down to one character focus, and start going into detail it sort of just made certain things stupid. I hated the fact the prequels were based on how he turned to the darkside, it was pointless and I could have cared less... but what was worse was they didn't even do a good job on the story, he didn't even have that bad of a life to justify turning into Darth Vader, he was just a little emo faggot who liked to BAAAAAAAAAW... it seemed more like he HAD to be Vader to fit the story, nothing really fit the character they just went in leaps and bound... whatever /rant

2) Everything was aged, looking used/lived in, etc... it made the world more real. I hated how everything was so shiny and nice in the prequels.

P.S. Fuck Jar Jar Binks.

I think Phantom Menace is one of the worst movies ever made (but you're right, Darth Maul is fucking awesome, really the only good part in the movie. the final lightsaber battle is pretty great actually). Attack of the clones failed because of Hayden whathisface and Natalie Portman. Revenge of the Sith was pretty good, methinks. It starts with a space battle in true star wars spirit, features more great saber fights, and has some pretty well done scenes. Great scenes include: Opening fight, Order 66 (anyone else go :erk: when Ki-Adi-Mundi gets killed?), and the shot where the face of the vader helmet is lowered. The only reason it doesn't live up to the original trilogy is, once again, shitty acting/chemistry on the part of the leads, and the NOOOOOOO at the end.

Really? not even a decent performance out of Ewan and Liam?

They were good I suppose. I meant mainly both Anakins (worst child actor EVER) and Natalie portman.

I will also say that the decision to computer animate Yoda was a terrible move.

you cant blame queen abudabi when she's spitting HORRENDOUS dialog and trying to act against a goddman plank of wood! besides, i would like to do all kinda durty things to natalie portman.
