The concerts thread

You just don't get it. Slam bands can't play on stages...they want to feel the energy of the pit! Which was full of faggots...

It looks like the pit was not so much full of faggots as devoid of people, but whatever. The first picture features three assholes hardcore dancing a bit, the second is a bunch of dudes standing around.

Are slam bands required to look like white trash?

Not if they're not from America, and if you think RUBEN MOTHERFUCKING BRUTALEST FUCKER OF ALL TIME ROSAS looks like white trash I feel bad for you.

nah, he looks cool. I was talking about the dudes in the previous 2 photos - sleeveless shirts, wife-beaters, gym shorts, etc...ughh...
For me, metal fashion involves a band shirt and jeans, not something you'd ride around the back of a pickup shooting at signs in.

Metallica will be at Boston Garden on January 18th. Hmm...

Metallica will be at Boston Garden on January 18th. Hmm...

The only thing I need to do here is come up with a witty way of saying I don't want to go.

Seriously, tickets will be $50+, $35 shirts, $6 water, etc, shitty view, bad setlist, hetfield will sound shitty, etc.

If they played a free concert across the street from me, I might go.

Tbh the whole show was disappointing. Motorhead was meh, Dios vocals were shit but Iommi sounded great for H&H, and Priest really sucked (only stayed for 5 songs).
Glad i didn't have to pay for the tickets.

That's too bad. The show I went to was kickass. The only thing that could of made it better was if Motorhead was playing that night.

I'm going because I'm hoping In Flames will play their old shit and I want to see Gojira

I'm going to the IF thing. It'll be nice because I won't be getting any merch (no need for new IF shirts, the art sucks, already have their latest, don't want anything from the other bands). So that show will cost me a total of $25.

The Prudential Center is an awesome arena and I'm very tempted to see this tour. I can take the train to and from the arena. There's plenty of bars by the train station too and it's legal to drink alcohol whilst on the train in NJ. I may just get shitfaced and listen to crappy versions of the songs that got me into metal :kickass:

New Jersey sounds like a magical place.

Just brought a ticket yesterday for Slipknot, Machine Head and Children Of Bodom on 2nd December.

While I think Machine Head should headline it's all good and I'm very much looking forward to it :D
