The Draft...

I've been in the Marines now for almost 9 years. I'm glad I'm doing my time in the service, and I think everyone should do at least 2 years of active duty, that way more people would appreciate the freedom that they have by defending it. I'm not saying that everyone should have to go to Iraq or Afghanistan, but I think everyone should contribute in some way, reguardless if they agree with the war or not.

I'm in partial agreement...I don't think they should be forced to join the military if they don't want; they should have the choice between the military and some civil service occupation or something. At least something where they have to serve the United States in some capacity.

D.W., You're living over there in Italy. I have two questions.
1. Italy mandates 2 years of service. How do the regular people feel about that? Are they for or against?
2. Is the Iroc-Z as poplular over there with the Italians as it was on Long Island?
