The Friday Five

1.If you could go back in time and change anything that has occurred in history, what would you alter and why?

Nothing. History is a great teacher for those who pay attention.

2.If your current life was to end today and in the next moment you were born again but you retained all of what you know from your first life, what would you do differently?

Not make the same mistakes, obviously.

3. If you could choose to become someone who has lived or who is living, who would you become and why?

Myself. I wouldn't want the challenge of being a greater person than I am. If I said Jesus, could I really BE him? I don't think so. I couldn't be the people I look up to, so I wouldn't want to be them.

4. What do you feel is the most intense experience that is currently happening or may soon come to happen, that may "affect" our survival and what (if) any changes must occur, to continue our existence here?

Environmental destruction, Political bullshit & media complacency. The degredation of the socially conscious, forward thinking individual and the rise of the masses-as-an-ignorant-entity.

5. Recalling your most earliest memories/awareness up to now, during your life so far name one thing that you consider a positive experience involving humanity. Name one negative experience also.
Negative - Turn on the news. Every day someone is doing something stupid, evil, or selfish.
Positive - Getting discounts at the post office because a different kind of shipping is cheaper, honest help from total strangers, selfless volunteers who put themselves in danger for the sake of their own enemies. That gives me hope.

1.If you could go back in time and change anything that has occurred in history, what would you alter and why?
Nothing. Don't you remember the advice Homer Simpson's dad gave him on his wedding day? "If you ever travel back in time, don't step on anything! It could affect the future in ways you couldn't possibly imagine!" - Grandpa Simpson
2.If your current life was to end today and in the next moment you were born again but you retained all of what you know from your first life, what would you do differently?
Spend less time worrying during high school, not go to my first college, little things like that
3. If you could choose to become someone who has lived or who is living, who would you become and why?
I'm with Ken, it's hard to fill other people's shoes. Maybe just one of my friends who has really good luck all the time.
4. What do you feel is the most intense experience that is currently happening or may soon come to happen, that may "affect" our survival and what (if) any changes must occur, to continue our existence here?
The Large Hadron Collider. When they boot up the LHC (this May, I think), I'm afraid we're all going to instantly wink out of existence, or something to that effect. It'll be a rather pleasant way to go.
5. Recalling your most earliest memories/awareness up to now, during your life so far name one thing that you consider a positive experience involving humanity. Name one negative experience also.
Positive - Little things you see every day: strangers helping strangers, etc.
Negative - Too many to count. The earliest one that I remember that was a big scale deal was when the news would interrupt TV shows to show war footage when I was about 5. I had no clue what was going on.

I read a book called Strange Matters and it lists a lot of the possible ways the LHC could kill us. As much as a like to think about what is possible with it, we are still so ignorant when it comes to the things that it can produce. Do everything you ever wanted to do by May 2008. "Monopole" may be the last words you ever hear.
