I started this thread ages ago (don't believe me? Check this out!) and nobody bothered replying. Oh well. Anyway, I've decided to start it again, and hopefully someone contributes to it.

If you can't be bothered typing out lyrics, chances are they can be found at http://www.azlyrics.com so there's no excuse (unless it's not there).

Anyway, here goes...

... (just the whole song is about how music sucks now and everything fun about the 80s is gone and they wanna be in a place where arena rock and ditzy bimbos and the Hollywood wild life is back!)

That's all I could be bothered typing just then but there are so many others! All the great sleaze metal songs for instance, all the Motley Crue songs that really paint a vivid picture of the wild Hollywood, lots of the great metal anthems like Hail & Kill etc...

"You're All I Need" rocks! Funny story about it:

A couple of years ago my brother (not Mark) was downloading songs on my computer to burn on CDs to play during his wedding. At the same time I decided to download an mp3 of "You're All I Need" because I hadn't heard it in years and saved it in the same directory as my brother was saving his mp3s. I didn't think any more of it.

Flash forward to the reception after the wedding. Mark and I are sitting there, and suddenly "You're All I Need" comes on. Not the sort of song that should be played at a wedding, but cool nonetheless!

I think the lyrics on The Chemical Wedding are amazing! (Except Killing Floor) Especially King In Crimson, The Chemical Wedding and Book Of Thel

Thats why it is one of my favourite albums. All the lyrics from Dream Theater's 'Scenes From A Memory' are excellent. That album is so well written it is fucking amazing. The way all the lyrics and harmonies tie in together, brilliant! Another of my fav albums.

One of my few disappointments with "Scenes From A Memory" is the lyrics to whichever song it is that John Myung wrote the lyrics to (I think it's "Fatal Tragedy"). Every other time he's written lyrics ("Learning To Live", "Lifting Shadows", "Trial of Tears") they've been great, but it felt like this time he didn't put any effort in at all. Sigh.
