The Impeachment of George Bush!!

It had better not happen it's always good to see a republican brother in office. People say he is such a bad president, but people also in the past have said that JFK was a good president and that, he was not...can anyone say "Bay of pigs invasion". Everyone today in this day and age go off of public opinion and it pisses me off. Then I hear people say "I watch the news" the news is controlled by democrat scum!

The idea of the media being dominated by the left is a fallacy born of the conservative media propaganda machine. The radio waves are dominated by right-wing propagandists (Rush, Hannity, Savage, etc); the TV is dominated by Fox (the highest ratings in the US), CNN, which used to be leftist, has moved to the center - it's now moderate fluff news, nothing left at all anymore. The print media is the one area where the left has any voice at all, but for every New York Times, there's a New York Post, etc. At best, it's 50/50. Again, this whole idea is the conservative media attempting to pull the wool over your eyes by proclaiming that the left controls the media - total bullshit. Think about this: who's proclaiming that the media is leftist? The MEDIA!! Obviosly, if it were leftist, they wouldn't go around comdemning themselves with such proclamations!

The fact of the matter is that practically NONE of the media puts Bush to the question. He gets away with murder unschathed. He gets a free pass constantly. Either the media is totally in his back pocket (which is likely) or they simply fear his admin and what these pricks will do to them (ie: Plame/Wilson).

The best example of this is Colin Powell's April 2004 admission that the case for war he brought before the UN and the world was "frought with error" and was "not a legitimate case for war" (paraphrasing). NONE - I repeat none of the major media outlets even gave this a breath! And this was BEFORE the idiots in the Bush admin finally admitted what we all knew in advance - that the possibility of Hussein possessing WMDs with long-range delivery capabilities was HIGHLY unlikely.
Of course, Powell was asked to leave the admin after coming clean with his crime. The burden of guilt was simply too much for him to bear. And the burden of truth is too much for Bu$hCo to bear. So he had to go.

The bottom line is that we're currently experiencing one of the worst presidencies the country has ever known. Bush spits on and pisses all over the constitution at every turn; he'a a religious zealot (much like bin Laden) and he's of sub-par intelligence. And if you dare to question his motives or his competancy, your slandered as being "un American" or some such nonsense.
 
the idea of impeachment scares, as that means Cheney becomes president if Bush is found guilty. Bush is a manipulatable bimbo. Cheney is a ruthless,intelligent neocon.

What about Dan Rather the liberal asshole? The liberals have CBS, What about PBS? I used to watch the news untill everytime I watched it all that was on was some Democrat asshole telling lies and pure shit flowing out of his mouth. And what makes Bush so bad? No one i've ever asked has had a valid reason...al they ever say is "he's an idiot" and "he screwed up the country" never having a reason. I'm not saying he is the best, I just dont believe he is as bad as people make him. I should watch FOX news, I never have, if its right wing than it is a good thing. Because I am sick of hearing all of this democrat shit, you know what? you go be gay and support affirmative blacktion liberal shit.

First off, the media is smack dab centrist. If you think that the media is "liberal", then you haven't even seen "liberal". If you equate liberal with PC, then you will never understand. Liberal is like dennis kucinich or ralph nader. We haven't had a true liberal in office since, gee, Roosevelt? Democrat is like pansie. The democratic voters are far more liberal then the democratic representitives or the media. Don't bother with fox. News should be objective anyways. Beleive it or not, I get a lot of my news from wikipedia. As for you not understanding liberal veiwpoints, you should try opening your mind before listening to them. For example, Bush did screw our country up. That is as much a fact as bay of pigs (which I believe you mentioned earlier). For some reason you blame the economy on clinton, which makes no sense whatsoever to me. Yes, our economy sucks, we are stuck in two heavy engagements with our military stretched far too far to defend ourselves from a strong attack on our own soil. Our environment is going to shit. This is what they mean when they say bush screwed up our country. The logical response is that it is necessary to endure hardships in order to correct the numerous wrongs in this world. A liberal would reply, why Iraq as oppossed to africa? I have yet to hear a good response to that one. I do, however, totally agree that if we were less prosperous but we are doing the world good, then that is better then being self indulgent and rich. Ultimatly, my veiwpoint involves both some right ideals, and some left ideals. It is called being openminded.

Of course you've not heard about Bush's many failings. Had the media been dominated by liberals, you would have. But since it's not, you've been lead in the dark.

Concerning Bush, let's just take a look at the last 24 months, or so:

- he hates the constitution. He ADMITTED to illegally monitoring people's phone conversations. I'm all for destroying the terrorist element, and of course, he could have done this legally by obtaining a warrant, but fuck law, right? Just piss on all over it. Bush decided that American law is meaningless.

- he's driven the deficit back to riciculous levels....until a democrat gets back in office to fix it (like Clinton did in the 90s).

- he IDIOTICALLY attempted to float social security to the dangers of the stock market, and idea so BAD that even his fellow Republicans condemned him for it.

- his entire administration is based on simply handed UNqualified people high-ranking jobs. Ever hear of the Katrina disaster? Go look up the "credentials" of the man (Brown) Bush appointed to run the disaster relief organization FEMA. Brown's background is in fucking horse-breeding. But he's a buddy, so he gets the job. And we all saw the outcome of that, didn't we?

- he sabotaged and sacrificed American safety and the lives of those sworn to protect us. You see he decided to reveal the name of one of America's secret agents all because her husband had the audacity to critique Bush's policies. If you practice your right to speak, he takes your life in to his hands. Luckily, this woman (Val Plame) wasn't murdered by America's enemies.

- he spits on capitalism. After the invasion of Iraq, contracts to rebuild that nation weren't allowed to go up for BID, allowing the best work at competitive prices (which IS capitalism) because he decided his cronies in Halliburton, etc., should get the job bid-free. Of course, YOU'RE paying for it, so what do you care, right?

- and let's talk about this little country the size of California named Iraq. Well he decided that they had WMDs.....I mean that their leader was a mad man.....I mean that the country needs Democracy....ah what is his current reason for the war these days? Anyone know? Oh, wait a minute....I DO. We're there to safeguard the OIL, rebuild Iraq's oil-producing infrastructure and slowly bring Iraq's oil production and sakes up to pre Gulf War I levels all as an insurance policy against a potential coup against his buddies, America's enemies: the Saudi Royal family.

I see no problem with monitoring peoples phone calls, it will be better in the long run, plus if you arent doing anything illegal then what is wrong with it?

Do you have any understanding of Capitalism and of NAFTA at all?
For one NAFTA ONLY involves Canada & Mexico. Thousands of jobs are shipped to China, India, etc because BIG BUSINESS seeks to cut expenses - it's called maximization of profits. This practice was in effect long before Clinton and has grown exponentially under Bush. And will continue to do so as long as wages can be paid dirt cheap overseas. Are YOU going to work for $0.50/hour?

The issue of work going overseas is in every major country around the world - it happens in AUs all the time. The US isnt exactly going downhill and it certainly will not cease to exist - it is simply having a downturn - this is inevitable and happens every so often. American politics, IMO, has been a bit of a mess for the latter part of last century and for all of this one. I dont support Bush, i dont oppose him either, i think no matter who gets in these days pretty much the same thing will winde up happening. Lets face it, Bush got in becuase he had no real opposition, just as Howard got in here and Blair in UK.

Want to read a post like that and B. Probably be able to come up with a half decent rebuttal for your argument....I have nothing against you, I have read your posts around UM and there's no doubt that you're cool, excluding your political posts... (I.E. My post isn't supposed to be flaming you in any way...So I hope you're not taking it that way) But you asked me If I disagree and this is my anwser (Long Version):D
