The Impeachment of George Bush!!

I have a great deal of respect for facts!!! but you don't have to be Einstein to figure out that you just like to hear yourself speak (Or read what you've typed, your choice) It's the most blantantly obvious part of this post...Another wannabe intellectual who chooses to flex his "Mind Muscles" (Hilarious,I know) On the UM board...Instead of a board on politics where at least the people involved on a board like that would A. Want to read a post like that and B. Probably be able to come up with a half decent rebuttal for your argument....I have nothing against you, I have read your posts around UM and there's no doubt that you're cool, excluding your political posts... (I.E. My post isn't supposed to be flaming you in any way...So I hope you're not taking it that way) But you asked me If I disagree and this is my anwser (Long Version):D

Fair enough, but there are a few issues with your post.

But anyway, let's put your theory to the test: feel free to run a search of threads I've created on UM. You'll NOT find ONE political-based thread I've created. None. I come here to talk music. However, when I stumble across other peoples threads on UM and I blatantly disagree with their views, of course I'll chime in (as you do, as well, for example). Why would/should we refrain?

So to say I seek to flex "mental muscle" or to take advantage of non-political minded folks here is unjustified and silly.

And no offense is taken from your thread as I don't know you, and know that you don't know me! And with so little of personality actually discernable over the net, it's really impossible to give most of this much credence, wouldn't you agree? Of course, I'm always compelled to respond to posts that scream for it, hence here I am typing this morning. :p

I don't need to run a search...I know you come here to talk tunes...Like I said I really enjoy your music threads (You're a Sabbath head, just like me)
And I do understand chiming in on disagreeable posts (We've all done it) I just think it was the closing lines of that post that hit me wrong "Read It. Believe It. Accept It. And move on." Kind of sounded like an order.

I apologize

I do agree...And I'm glad you didn't take offense...Been reading you on the Billy board...I'm sure you know I'm conservative (Not an invite to harrass me....Just letting you know) and as always on the Old School Board.
later bro...

I didn't recognize you from Old School....but I do agree that the "read it, believe it, accept it" line is harsh and imposing. I shouldn't have used it, but sometines the blood gets pumping and emotion takes over.

As an aside, as I was staunch conservative for many years....and still hold some conservative views (such as being very supportive of capital punishment, etc). Overall, however, I find that, more often than not, liberal idealogy (the real lib idealogy - not the fluff that exists in the embellished stereotype) leads to a slightly better society than that of conservative idealogy. Generally speaking, of course.

I hate all of these stereotypes. Most people posting here actually have nuance in their viewpoints, which I totally dig. I am so sick of posting on forums where everyone is like davtar. Mabye metalheads in general are more intellegent. Rock on guys.

Yeah Republicans!! Yeah Capitol Punishment!! Yeah Personal Responsibility!! Yeah Sexual Fidelity!! Yeah Freedom!!

No attack necessary. With the Bush admin literally damning the face of the neo-con movement (thanks George!) daily, I think it's safe to assume that the GOP will run a more moderate, traditional conservative for the presidency in 08.

I'd say that infringing on personal freedoms, skyrocketing gas prices, record oil comapny profits, a war that doesn't make sense from one day to the next, elimination of decent paying American jobs, over-saturation of near-minimum wage jobs, and a man who is really on the low-end of the totem pole of Presidential intelligence is a good reason for impeachment.

But what do I know?

no matter what conspiracy-thinking liberals think the govt doesnt control gas prices, oil, or job loss

The problem isn't whether or not they control those national problems; it's that they're unable to control them. ;)

That's a real conspiracy alright. To give large companies tax breaks for getting rid of jobs here and sending them overseas.

And yeah, no one has any real proof that the gas prices are because of GW. He just happens to have many friends in the Oil Industry and his campaign has received many large donations from these companies as well.

It is a blind Republican only that sees GW as a good Pres. I know a lot of Repubs who happen to despise him as a moron on many issues. Granted, what they think isn't what everyone needs to also, it just simply strikes me as interesting that I've seen so many of them that hate his guts.
