The Iron Maidens Tribute CD - Reviews Thread

I must like it, I've listened to it everyday for the past seven days, ever since I got it.

Fortunately they've agreed to my request to give a free CD to those who've seen The MaidenS live over 40 times. But since that apparently doesn't include shipping, I'll have to wait until the next Paladino's show to collect.

So, has anyone else figured out the backmasked message on the CD yet? I have.... he he maybe I'll post it someday :D
Isn't there some software, a program that will let you play songs backwards and at various speeds? I seem to remember one that would do that.

There's a notice in my PO box to pick up a package tomorrow... I hope it's what I think it is!:Spin:
YES!:hotjump:
Got it & so far have had a chance to listen to the first 3 songs... very professional recording studio sound! Looking forward to hearing the rest of it later on...:headbang:

I just took the cover off my CD player and spun it backwards manually like I used to on my turntable ;)

You’re pulling my leg, right? hee, hee, no way! Anyway, if anyone would like to know how to do it with your software, you can rip the songs then convert to .WAV files and then use Windows WAV Player to run the songs at various speeds in forward or reverse, and jump with the slider control. Then you can easily hear the back masking.

That is if you can find a program to convert it to a .WAV the the Windows WAV player can use. Dammed if I can get it to work... go to the run command and type sndrec32 to open the program to play songs backwards.

The guitars are crystal clear, I can hear the notes better than on the original or the live version.

Damn, dude! You're like an ocean of information! :OMG: You must have all kinds of fun with computers and what not! I think I'll pick your brain later about some stuff! :

Any sound editing program should work. A lot of CD buring software has basic editing tools. You just highlight the section you want reversed and choose "inverse" and wa la. Maybe later, if I'm feeling ambitious I'll posted the backmasked piece already reversed.

My favorite backmask is the beginning of ELO's Fire On High. Anyone remember which Maiden song had the pretty large and obvious backmask? I wanna say it's on Piece of mind before Still Life or Back in the Village, I don't have the album handy.

It was definately Still Life. It was Nicko saying "What ho the monster with three bonce, don't meddle with things you don't understand". Or something to that effect. Haha!

Btw, Back In The Village is from Powerslave! :p

I kind of like the table tennis game that BOC backmasked on one of their albums. At least I think it was BOC

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who's seen them over 40 times. I think the top 4 attendees are [not in this order] Keyser, Red Shirt, Crank Yanker and me. I'm not sure if anyone but me has even made it past 30 shows.

I'm just lucky that some of the most hardcore MaidenS fans don't live in CA, or I might have some real competition.
