I've been listening to Jazz for the last 10 years every evening when i'm showering and get ready for the bed. The radio station I listen to at daytime plays jazz in the night and I'm too bored to change the station.

I dont like Jazz, other than the obvious. Its only fun to see in a pub when its random musicians improvising. Other than that, I have Kind of Blue and some other MD collections that I toss on sometimes.

^ I think that's a minimum. I mean, there are a few albums you HAVE to own if you love music, and Kind of Blue is one of them.

Well I'd like to add that every single Davis album is such a musical treasure that everyone should own them all, but let's say that's a starter.

My dad listens to a jazz.He tried to get me into jazz but I dont like it. I have a feeling I will like it for 15 years.
I know his fav things are Dizzy Gillespie,John Coltrane,Mahavishnu Orchestra(or smth like that),Weather Report,Omar Rodriguez Lopez,but I dont know a lot about them.

I've always been told I "just don't get it", when I say I don't like jazz, which used to really piss me off when I studied music in college. Technically I was in the "Jazz Bass" program, but I hated jazz, and everyone who liked it sounded the same as Brutal Hate and his BM fagotry, so I decided to not do that anymore. I understand how to sit and listen to a jazz album, every chord change, every note, every interval, ect ect being a douche, but it doesn't go with me.

Its like hearing a redneck tell you how fucking awesome Tool is. Only enlightened hillbilly fuckups like Tool, and you all fucking know it. "Oh shit, did you know Tool has an album made up of mathematical algorithms!?! That shit would be cool if I could multiply double digitits a-kyuk!".

Elitists piss me off in general I think. Except myself. I don't piss me off.
