The neverending question (seen this one on another forum)

A highlighter is a marker that makes stuff brighter and a sharpie is a permanent marker. How did you not know that? Scotland has both.

Motorhead was part of the NWOBHM and the singer has a raspy, raunchy voice.

Oh yeah I know what a highlighter is now but I've never heard of a sharpie before and I don't think I've ever seen one - I do use highlighters, I think it was just the spelling that threw me there.

Motorhead - Hmmm well some folk say they were part of NWOBHM but I personally myself wouldn't class them as part of that genre cos Motorhead were formed in the mid 70s and the NWOBHM era was bands that first emerged during the 80s. Lemmy played with Hawkwind before he formed Motorhead and I've seen both bands, just saw Motorhead about 2 months ago along with Girlschool and In Flames as support. Motorhead were brilliant, and Lemmy's voice is still superb and he doesn't look a day over 35, although he must be nearly 60 now I think. I think I would have chosen Hawkwind over Motorhead cos I've always had a very soft spot for those psychaedelic space rockers.
