Just read the news update on their official site, apparently the album is to be 'Crawl Through Knives'... Which seems an odd title, but anyway...
Is it just me or could this title be referring to the fans who've 'stabbed them in the back' since the release of R2R and STYE?

That would be interesting, as I have watched the back-stabbing. It certainly would be justified for them, as I honestly believe their last 2 releases were still pretty solid with the exception of a lot of vocals. We shall see how they do with this one.

.... I don't think they want to please old or new fans..... I think they just make music they want....

More than likely it will be one of those albums where they try and regain the old fans (guitar melodies, darker tone) but they'll continue to be a nu-metal band with nu-metal riffs which will ultimately result in a disaster, due partially to anders weak emo vocals and partially the confused state of sound the band have deeply dug themselves into. This will blow donkey nutz, mark my words.

It seems to me that In Flames stabbed their fans in the back, not the other way around.

I dont think anyone stabbed anyone in the back. In Flames changed their style and alot of people didnt like it. In Flames didnt do it to spite us. Dont take it so personally
