Yes, last night when I met Matt in a bar in Athens, he gave me away some secret infos. I was drunk too, so I have already forgotten most of them. I remember some though:
1. The sound will be more "modern", so expect some strong hardcore and metalcore influences. There will also be more rapping than on the first CD.
2. Matt recorded a 15-minute-long guitar solo, but they thought it sounded too professional and virtuosic for an underground record, so they discarded it from the final release.
3. He also told me it will be a concept album based around a story of two Nebraskan drug dealers trying to get to Manhattan with no cash. On the way they are joined by an ex-prostitute and an old sailor with a parrot on his shoulder. They go through some bizzare adventures and end up in some magic fairyland with a talking lion and a white witch who feeds them with Turkish delight.
4. The album will also contain at least three Bob Marley cover songs, I can't remember them though.
5. Theocracy don't have enough budget left for a professional cover, so the cover artwork is done by Seth's 8 year old neighbour, who won a painting contest at school.
6. Ah and as far as I can remember the title of the CD will be something like "A Night at The Opera" - sure, it has absolutely no relation to the music, but who cares, Queen and Blind Guardian had success with that name, so why not Theocracy?
