Today I bought a new watch band. It's VELCO! goes great with my 90s style Casio watch.

also I got some neat airtight jar thing to keep coffee in.

so i was supposed to be running the phone center last night (aka sitting in a cubicle for 4 hours), so i went to the Goodwill before work to buy a book since i was almost done the one i was currently reading (Legion by William Peter Blatty... pseudo-follow-up to The Exorcist). i wound up getting 9 books for $16.

among others, i got:
The Amityville Horror - Jay Anson
The Crucible - Aurthur Miller
Darkly Dreaming Dexter (one of the books that the show is based off of)
Lord of the Flies - William Golding
Testament - David Morrell (he also wrote a book called First Blood... dunno if it's Rambo-related or what but the book looks cool)
Bel Canto - Ann Patchett

*needs a third bookshelf*

bought 3 new dvd's
1. 1408
maybe i was to tired when i saw this movie but it wasnt as special as i thought when i bought it...

2. Captivity
standard movie ala hostel/saw only worse  but thats the kind of movie i like

3. Halloween (rob zombie)
although the movie was half porn half slasher i actually liked this one.

1408 - not that good

captivity - a friend of mine started to watch it and it freaked her out so bad that she couldn't finish it. i'm done with the whole "madman ties up and sadistically tortures pretty young woman" thing

halloween - still haven't seen it. want to, but... just don't care enough, i guess

haha how old is your friend that saw Captivity..i mean it isnt that scary

and halloween, if you like horror/slasher movies and the older Halloween movie's you should really see this one.
...i like the work of rob zombie, i dont know if its because of all the beautiful naked lady's in all his films or the twisted horror scenes he just comes up with :p

the friend is a few years older than me and she does like horror movies... don't remember which ones she said she liked, other than In The Mouth of Madness, which she gets cool points for, but not cred :loco:

Primordial - Dark Romanticism (how did I not already have this?!)

KOTOR II has a great story, but it's buggy as a month-old corpse. There's a restoration project for it going on (just Google 'sith lords restoration project') that should help a lot, but don't be surprised if you run into more than a few spots that are just broken.

Save often.
