This weekend is gonna rock.

Pretty good weekend for cigars... special events Thursday, yesterday, and today at stores I frequent left me with over a dozen new cigars.

Thursday: Macanudo event, bought a four-pack of Macanudos and got a few freebies... two cigars and two pairs of cigarillos for attending, and the rep tossed in a couple more cigars afterwards just because he's awesome... I also bought a single stick unrelated to the event. Yield: nine cigars, four cigarillos.

Friday: La Gloria Cubana event, bought two sticks and got two free. Yield: four cigars.

Saturday: Punch event, got two cigars and two sets of cigarillos (here and before they were used to highlight flavor differences between wrappers, but this time there were four per packet instead of two) after a bit of a pointless drive because we were lost. Yield: two cigars, eight cigarillos.

Total... fifteen cigars, twelve cigarillos, paid for seven cigars.

Used books at flea markets = good times

"Eaters of the Dead" by Michael Crichton (THE THIRTEENTH WARRIOR WILL BE NO NORTHMAN!)
"A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" by Mark Twain
"The Children of Men" by P.D. James
"Black Elk Speaks" by John. G. Neihardt

Grand total = $3

I've read Eaters of the Dead. Confusing book. The story is pretty straightforward, but the way it's written is really weird. I didn't care much for it.

KOTOR II has a great story, but it's buggy as a month-old corpse. There's a restoration project for it going on (just Google 'sith lords restoration project') that should help a lot, but don't be surprised if you run into more than a few spots that are just broken.

Save often.

You know, I liked it so much more than the first one because the characters were cooler. But it seems like once you get to that one place, they just said fuck it and wrapped the game up in a week as if it wasn't ridiculously short and easy as it was.

Still great games, though. Absolute must for any Star Wars fan.

Odd, most of Crichton's stuff that I've read is really easy to follow. I shall see what I think.

They had a few copies of Timeline too, but I didn't want to get over-Crichtonified in a single day. Yeah.

SLRP should be fixing a LOT of stuff and integrating content that was installed but unused, it should make things very interesting.

Much darker and cooler than the original... the original seemed a bit Disneyish at times - save someone from evil because you love them? Fuck that shit, smack a bitch back into place and we'll talk.
