Just to throw this out there, there are over 9,000 federally qualified health centers in the US ... over 8,000 of them offer mammography imaging, but not a single one of the 700 planned parenthoods do.

But yea what i've came away with after reading through these posts is that you guys are all guppies who are just pushing planned parenthoods false defense argument ... but yea once again, im not surprised. The media juggernaut that is the left is just unfukwitable in a Alinsky-esque society filled with guppies/sheep.

Also, I swear to god i would not give one single fuck if any of those dusgusting, despicable "people" in those said videos were butchered and dismembered instead.

Oh and Gutfeld can be annoying at times, but the man usually speaks the truth ... which is something that is rarely found on the other side, as this page has made evidently clear.

Serious question: Are you fucking stupid or something? PP did nothing wrong, has done nothing wrong, and probably won't do anything wrong. All of these controversies are made up attacks and spun to demonize them for no reason. PP serves a great purpose in our society. Get the fuck over it.

They're donating the tissue; as far as anyone can tell, they charge enough to cover the costs of shipping (and before you challenge this, the cost of shipping untouched tissue is very fucking expensive - it's like shipping organs).

Certain private companies, acting as middlemen, may be profiting off of the sale of fetal tissue; but even if they are, who's to say this is illegal? There doesn't seem to be any constitutional precedent making it illegal. Now conservatives will get all up on their high moral horses and say that it should be illegal, because it is clearly deplorable!

When, in fact, it could develop medical research in the future. So ideologically shortsighted and contradictory.

All of the major sports events are more or less scams from the taxpayer ROI perspective, but the Olympics and FIFAWC are on an international scale and often require special construction, rather than simply increased crowd control and transit etc.
 
Seems to me that politics would be a less controversial and more effective system if political parties weren't involved. Why the fuck must everybody allign themselves with any particular political group? It disgusts me.

The only politicians I've ever aligned with were actually independents but in order for them to run they have to be aligned with a party of some sort just to get the recognition. I agree in principle that it's bogus but unfortunately that's the way it is atm.

In a Senate floor speech Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders said he would introduce legislation to provide public funding of elections to replace a “corrupt” system of “legalized bribery’ with candidates “begging for contributions from the wealthy and the powerful.”

“We are talking about a rapid movement in this country toward oligarchy, toward a government owned and controlled by a handful of extremely wealthy families,” Sanders said.

Sanders agreed with former President Jimmy Carter’s description of the current campaign funding system in the United States as “unlimited political bribery.” In a July 28 radio interview on The Thom Hartmann Program, Carter spoke of “a complete subversion of our political system, as a payoff to major contributors who want, and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election is over.”

Sanders said he will formally introduce legislation when Congress returns in September to provide public funding of campaigns to make elections more competitive and allow candidates to spend more time discussing issues with voters and less time raising campaign funds.

So far in this campaign, 35 individuals have donated more than $1 million to Super PACs, according to The Associated Press. Sanders also cited a Sunlight Foundation analysis which found more than two-thirds of all the money raised by presidential candidates so far in this campaign has gone to super PACs, not to candidates’ own campaign committees. Super PACs are the new fundraising vehicles created after the Supreme Court, in a 2010 case known as Citizens United, voided decades-old limits on campaign funding by corporations and wealthy individuals.

Just one family, the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, plan to invest some of their fossil-fuel fortune and, along with other wealthy donors, bankroll a $900 million political operation this election cycle. That’s more than either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party will each spend on the 2016 campaigns, Sanders noted.

“I will be introducing legislation which calls for public funding of elections, which will enable any candidate, regardless of his or her political views, to run for office without being beholden to powerful special interests,” Sanders said.

They're certainly not dealing in "facts," but it's questionable as to who is in this entire situation.

It is fairly clear, when you read the transcripts from those videos, that they were edited and that Planned Parenthood representives' comments were taken out of context. For instance, the transcript seems to contradict that Planned Parenthood is out to make a profit:

Actor: "I understand what you’re saying. This cannot be seen as, ‘We’re doing this for profit.’ "

Nucatola: "No. Nothing, no affiliate should be doing anything that’s not like, reasonable and customary. This is not -- nobody should be ‘selling’ tissue. That’s just not the goal here."

Actor: "Right. And, I never see that as, I don’t look at it that way, we’re not selling tissue, we’re selling the possibility of what the research can offer."

Nucatola: "I think we all would agree with you. That’s just not the perception, sadly, for everybody."

Actor: "I mean, researchers are paying for procurement, they’re not paying for — You’re not buying a brain, you’re buying a procurement service."

Nucatola: "Exactly. Exactly."
