The News Thread

His actual excuse was (paraphrasing) "All these people are commenting on some random porn pop-up on my phone, so what? I probably have had thousands of porn pop-ups on my phone, this happens all the time on the internet".

Best entertainment in years. So the pipebomber is apparently a brown guy (might be Native American or hispanic) who hates CNN, loves Trump, was living in his van, has a crime record going back to the 90's and has a history of sending bomb threats.

Also probably roiding based on history. Not a leftist but not exactly a conservative either.

Apparently his Twitter was filled with Tweets of him threatening the blue checks, but his Twitter was suspended so I can't link to anything. Speaking of Twitter I'm seeing a lot of people calling this guy white even though I'm hearing that his Twitter was filled with posts about being from the Seminole tribe and he's blatantly not white going by his pics.

These are the same people doing damage control over Elizabeth Warren's claims to Native heritage, a literal snow white woman, and this brown dude is whitey? He had a "Native Americans for Trump" sticker on his van according to police reports...

According to Ancestry.com:

"He was born in Brooklyn in 1962, the son of a Filipino immigrant, and attended North Miami Beach High School, according to information from ancestry.com, the genealogy company that tests the DNA of customers to reveal ancestral roots."

Now to me he doesn't look Filipino (or at least Filipino enough to have a general Filipino look to him) so I'm betting that only one of his parents are from there. Filipino people generally look Asian, he barely looks Asian at all.

This couldn't be more perfect in terms of throwing a clusterbomb into American identity politics.

Seems like one of those people who were radicalized in 2015/2016, which we saw in both the Trump and Bernie camps. According to Sargon of Akkad (who says he went through his Twitter as far back as he could) in 2013 he posted nothing political, just normie shit like MMA stuff and selfies, then little to no activity in 2014, then suddenly in 2015 he starts posting tons of political stuff, starts threatening old guard Dems and spamming people with Trump/GOP propaganda.

He seems like a sort of typical outcast type who latches onto something counter-cultural and becomes radical, which we saw among the BernieBros too. The guy is in his 50's, just like the BernieBro shooter (or was he older?).

Edit: I'm not saying you can't be a conservative and a male stripper, but...

Also: moderate black Trump voters shown on TV don't represent Trump's fanbase but brown Trumpster extremist does.

Remember when CNN or MSNBC or whoever were covering a Trump rally trying to paint it as some big white supremacy thing and they cut to the ground reporter to interview some supporters and it goes straight to a black voter for Trump? The female anchor was evidently irritated by it and reiterated that the black guy isn't representative of Trump's voterbase? Hilarious optics.

I don't have any friends but I know a bunch of flips, and at least a couple of them look like that guy. You have to remember that the flip race is extremely mixed which means you can have nearly-pure Asians, nearly-pure Spaniards, and any spectrum in between. And only one of his parents is flip to begin with.

My sample experience is probably pretty different because Australia has a shitload of South-East Asian communities and the general insularity of ethnic communities means I may have only met the Asian Filipinos, while on the contrary I've barely met a single Mexican, Latino, Hispanic etc person over here in general.
