Both guards, the only two working that night, falling asleep at the same time immediately sounds like bollocks to me. But also, one of the guards wasn't even a guard, they were staff from elsewhere in the facility who was doing guardwork that night and nobody seems to know why or what they were actually hired to do.

Exactly my thoughts. I might be willing to buy two guards falling asleep under normal circumstances, but this whole Epstein thing is too big a story and would have been treated extra-seriously in the prison. Smells of people up the ladder pulling strings to allow for Epstein to do himself in, apparently his cellmate was even removed shortly before it happened.
