The old Metallica is back?

Cheers dude! Glad you like it. Put the two 'khyber lightning' images along with the following lyrics and you get a nice story...

KHYBER LIGHTNING

Guilty as charged
Saddam, it ain't right
The Taliban's controlling me
Death in the air
Strapped in the pilot's chair
This aircraft's filled with TNT

Who's made of bombs today?
I'll take your lives from you

Stash C4 inside
Don't know how to fly
Learning in my plane
Wish I'd caught the train

Wait for Hassan
To flick the switch of death
The plane's beginning to descend
Nerves, taking hold
My bowels just lost control
I need a dump, my muslim friend

My fingers grip my rear
What time for diarrhoea

Flush before I fly
Turds fall out the sky
Burning anus pain
Fart feels like a flame

Someone help me
Oh please, Allah help me
They're trying to take my bombs away
I just want to die

Time-bomb ticking slow
The minutes seem like hours
Not far ‘til US Embassy
How true is this?
My pants are filled with piss
I wish I still worked for BT

American air-hostess scream
This is the muslim dream

Ash pours out the sky
Now it's time to die
Burning in my plane
Hail Saddam Hussein

(p.s. trust me, I don't have anywhere enough free time! I'm just efficient on my lunch break...)

HAHAHA!!!!

These aren't Taliban related but they always crack me the fuck up.

Dude, that last picture really cracked me up, and I didn´t even notice some of the details!!! Awesome job! The only thing missing now is the music :headbang:

(danweapon) if you don't mind me asking, how do you get that look in photoshop? Is it a program within photoshop...ie brushes, it almost has a comic bookish feel to it...cheers

No man, it's just the most basic stuff in photoshop!

It's just all about getting the right contrast, sharpness and colour between objects in the foreground and background, and then making sure light sources and shadows are as consistent as possible. It's amazing what you can do with the layer styles function (i.e. 'overlay', soft 'light' etc). I usually always put a very feint layer of a solid colour (like a yellow one in my last picture) over the top of everything once a piece is finished, and set the layer style to 'colour' and maybe around 15% opacity.

But seriously, the hue-saturation-colour and brightness-contrast functions, as well as the layer styles are amazing and can do so, so much. They're my 5150, tubescreamer and SM57 of photoshop haha...

If you have any more questions on photoshop though dude, I'm more than happy to help!

haha! Photoshop and protools... it's amazing the similarities in some ways.

Unfortunately I can't put up any psd files, as I'm continually flattening layers as I go along to save having zillions of layers floating about. All the metalliban stuff is just JPGs now.

Maybe next time I do one, I'll keep it unflattened as possible for anyone that would be interested!

Below is the original image that I made the last hetfield-in-a-plane from, so you can get some idea of what sort of stuff was done to it.
