Funny stuff, but since when are there Hindi suicide bombers? Keeping it on target to Islamic extremists will make it funnier. Throwing any religion from another country into the mix just makes it look like ignorant redneck rants.

Oh well no loss for them, Metallica always wrote long songs back in the day, so nothing new here just more return to form stuff. They have been hard at work constructing this bad ass motherfucker with the time they spent on it, it should be decent...to a Metallica fan that is...shit they might even suprise us and do a lot of middle eastern harmonies on the album.

You know exactly what the meat of my post was about. We're making jokes about a certain ideology and a specific group. If not, then why not also throw in jokes that would make no sense in the context, like christian abortion bombings or Tim McVey?

Good satire is only achievable when you know what the hell your talking about and making fun of.

I understand that they did long songs back in the day. To this day I put down the band and their early work as THE reason I still play guitar and love metal. WHat I'm saying is with the "riffs/ snippets" that we got to hear, it doesn't sound like something I'd like to hear for 4 minutes, let alone 8.
They hyped up St Anger in a very similar way that they are this one, so forgive me if I'm not excited about it just yet.

Now, back to the humor at hand!
Actually the suicide bomber thing is pretty funny in another way. Even when thier music started to suck, most gave them a free pass. Then they went after the fans and the whole napster fiasco. to take a out a few people they said were killing thier career, they killed thier own career.
