I doubt that this question is somewhat new. But because I don't want to die stupid, I question this on myself:
What is the origin or the meaning of the Bandname "Opeth"?
I tried to translate it but I have no clue...
I hope someone can help ...

It comes from a Wilbur Smith book called "The Sunbird". There is a city in it called Opet which is the city of the moon. They liked it and added an h.
