George: I've been out West for a backpacking trip, and, while I loved the countryside, I hated the civilization there. What was your experience.

The mini casinos around the city were pretty stupid, and things were very commercial there but overall it was a fine trip. The alternatives to the main city such as bike trails and farmer markets were quite nice. My friend's girlfriend works at an organic farm and was able to bring home some stuff which was a plus. You take the good with the bad. I'd defiantly go there again though, there's a lot to discover (nature wise).
