I remember watching the FBI files on Discovery (or was it History Channel?) where they dramatized REAL-LIFE cases..one dude got caught because he killed his wife and rolled her up in his carpet and dumped her in the woods (but he brought back the carpet) and they found this tiny tiny piece of the carpet on the road and they matched it to the one in his living room and he got busted..
