And I don't give a shit about my "metal ego." I buy rare, obscure shit because I want to listen to it and I talk about rare, obscure shit because that's what interests me and I want others to know about it too. I don't go around bragging about it, I just mock people for having gay tastes.

Besides, buying rare stuff when it is released instead of ebaying it 3 years later isn't more expensive then buying random popular stuff so I don't know what they are complaining about.
I have payed $40+ for maybe two items in my collection and I still have quite a few gems imo. Just because someone owns alot of rare stuff doesn't mean he has payed a fortune for it.

Yeah, the only things that I've paid over $40 for are the first two Sadus (before the reissues were announced...), Saint Vitus - Saint Vitus...and maybe something else, not sure. A few in the $30+ range, especially some of the old school DM stuff, but I get tons of stuff cheap to balance it out.

As hard as it is to believe that you actually got offended by that, I guess I'll have to defend myself since this does appear to be the case.

1) I'm not a troll. I make plenty of legitimate posts on these forums, which you obviously haven't bothered to notice yet.

2) If making inflammatory posts on occasion is all it takes to be considered a troll, then that would include about 90% of the people who post here.
