The pics thread

I see over the wheel just fine, you lanky freak, you. Just know that low ceilings are of virtually no concern to me, whereas you need to concentrate and not smacking your head on a beam and forgetting all that Cicero crap.

Sic Semper Populo Alto.

Seriously, though, my one troupe does (or, rather, is about to start doing) shows at this bar in town, and ceiling over the stage is really low- Penn and Teller where there in the 70's and Penn had to kneel the whole time- and the others guys had to be careful about not braining themselves. But me? Just dandy.

When I'm the Latin professor at Harvard I won't have to worry about bumping my head standing in a lecture hall.

So... wait... you're learning Latin... so you can teach it?

Scuze meh, but that seems like a bit of a pointless cycle to me.

Having the knowledge is fulfilling enough, and spreading it is equally. That and it guarantees me a job since I'm a double major (Secondary Education being the other). Latin is just as valid to learn as History and English, and many people who major in that go on to teaching. And I'm also minoring in Classics, which will help as well.

Wtf I see no pictures.

no offense meant, but isn't Latin useless/dead?

Think a little before you speak. Knowledge and academia is very important, as is spreading it. If everything we had to learn was immediately practical towards something physical we'd all be morons. Also teachers, especially professors, often do research in addition to their teaching duties.

I think he's trying to say that learning/teaching Latin and its knowledge is important because it's part of a civilzation that had a huge influence on modern humanity.....I hope....?
