I purchased a Manilla Road Mystification T-Shirt, Mysterium CD, had my copy of Crystal Logic signed by the Shark, Hellrodie, and Rick, and partied in Mark's basement in Midgard studios. Mark offered me a bowl, but I (stupidly) declined.

There's a style of jazz out there for everybody. Same goes for pop, country, bluegrass, electronic, etc. Making a blanket statement about an entire genre is the folly of the closed-minded.

If ya don't like the blues I'd recommend sticking with Latin Jazz and Jazz-Classical, maybe some Jazz Fusion.
