IDK, I don't think Immortal's been good since Pure Holocaust but I definitely want to get obliterated with Abbath sometime.

Good point about GMD. I mean I guess official forums are a cool thing to pitch on google, but not having anything in that search result (weekly active users, daily posts, etc) to point out that we're not one of the 999999 dead forums that also come up on google seems like a massive oversight.

Honestly, I haven't put a lot of time into the forum development over the last year. Before Google shutting me out of the ad thing, it was making enough to warrant time to "do things" on a pretty constant basis. I've got a long list of things I want to change (like moving it from the "official band forums" to a more general metal forum site). It essentially just barely pays for itself each month.

A year ago I quit my job (well paying) and decided to go back to working for myself - couldn't stand commuting here in Northern Virginia any more and gave enough of my time making others $. Myself and a childhood buddy (along with another friend/partner) run www.shiningsol.com - which is growing fast and we all have high hopes for. Yes, a candle company of all things (multi-billion dollar industry). So if you burn candles, but some damn candles from me (you will love them)! I make about 1/3 of what I used to but still have the same bills to pay and kids to feed, etc. - so yes, it will shift and get changed soon but not sure when.

Why'd Google block you?

I know it's ridiculously hard to keep copyrighted images off the forum, but you might be able to search uploaded images by domain name and zero in on certain big name sites Google prioritizes for copyright protection.

Backtracking porn images from 5+ years prior with some automated BS, stuff that snuck past me and ended up with them shutting the site off. As well as racial slurs it picked up that I also had not caught. Things of that nature.

Absolutely! Stress over the money part but that will "come back" with time. But I don't hate my job any more and did something about it, priceless, even to the wallet
