This is why people need to stop having so many goddamn kids. It's really sad that most governments in the world don't do anything to discourage this, considering how utterly irresponsible and destructive overpopulation is. A lot of governments even encourage this shit by giving tax breaks to parents.

Tax breaks to parents make sense short term - they need the extra cash because they have to pay for shit. I don't think anyone has kids just to get the tax break, though.
I think zero population growth laws are necessary at this point.
I assume most of you have read Ender's Game. Seems likely that the bit about thirds will become a reality in the not too distant future.

It was a terrible idea in the first place. There's something attractive about the idea of perfecting the human race, but it's a bad idea for so many reasons. First off, genetic variation exists for a reason. Secondly, there's no real way to implement eugenics that would be very far removed from Hitler's methods. Thirdly, it's just an asshole thing to do.

I have no clue where that hat went to, my wife packed it in our last move and it's somewhere on our property, lol. But yeah, dude was fairly cute in that hat, but then again, my son is never uncute, haha.

Actually, population control is one area where the western world has not fucked up. Western countries are mostly at break even growth and countries like the US are only growing due to immigration. It's China and India who have do get their act together and stop having so many goddamn kids.

If we could only introduce HIV to these guys, then that would work, like in Africa....

Actually China has in the past had laws that restricted family size, but I don't know how the situation is now, because its population still seems to be growing fast. India the same, but I don't know how the government is addressing that. The fact that these two countries have advanced enough to provide more efficiently for its citizens is why diseases like HIV and whatever else aren't running rampant (and thus a boon to population growth) like in 3rd world countries with weak governments.
