The pics thread

Because I would prefer losing a couple hundred bucks to having to live with having killed another human being.
And also, because then you have to deal with stuff like manslaughter charges and shit.

I actually do think that poor people are the perpetrators of most muggings and violent robberies. This seems to me to be a completely rational belief, but clearly I'm wrong, as rich people are the ones with a strong motive to go out and kill people for pocket change.

we've already taken up too much of this thread so i'll end with this:

yes, you could end up getting shot trying to stop a mugging, but at the same time the robber could shoot just so you can't identify him later. i would much rather try to save myself instead of chancing my personal safety into someones hands that frankly doesnt care if i'm alive or not. knowing that i tried is more important to me. dont you have any self-respect?

you don't have to kill anyone. you just have to show that you're not willing to be a doormat.

@Go Forth and Die- strong words for someone that hasn't weighed in.

Because it's all a bunch of bollocks.

If you want a gun, have a gun. if you it makes you feel safer, all the better.

If you don't, don't whine to people about how they shouldn't just because you feel it's irresponsible and shite.

Guns will always exist, live with it.

...because if someone's pointing a gun at you and you pull a gun on them, they'll just say "oh, I see. I thought you were a weakling pussy, but now I see that you also own a gun, so I'll just leave you alone."
They wouldn't be all like "MOTHAFUCKA!" and shoot you. Not at all.

To be honest, other people carrying concealed weapons makes me feel less safe. I don't know why. It's sort of odd. I guess I should be fine with other people wandering around with handguns that they'll be tempted to use whenever something bad happens (like, say, someone cutting them off at an intersection).

What the eff.
Woa.

A father in NJ recently shot and killed a boy who was coming to his house to confront his son, before the boy actually did anything. Hopefully he'll be prosecuted and put in jail.

Yes.

I'm sure Krig does that.

I sure he wants to cross the street, and if the "Walk" sign doesn't come up quick enough he feels the need to whip out his gun and start blasting.

That's fucking logical.

1. Are you willing to kill someone to keep your wallet?

uh yes, and why aren't YOU?

2. Life isn't a movie. In the movies having a gun saves someone. In real life, having a gun makes a nonviolent confrontation violent.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA what fairytale city do YOU live in? And last I checked, someone burglarizing a house with a weapon has already made a situation violent. Violent actions BEG FOR violent reactions. Live with it.

3. Statistically, having a gun in the house increases the odds that you will die in a robbery.

In the land of total bullshit, this is true. Statistics can be drawn up by anyone and manipulated in any way, depending on the agenda these "statistics" need to cater to. There are plenty of instances in America where guns HAVE SAVED PEOPLE.
