The pics thread

I think a better one would be late 90s, 2005, and then 2010.

It would fit it more

Plus, how many people had internet in 1990? Wasn't until the mid 90s where it became popular.

I remember that sometime in the late 80s or maybe it was in 1990 we visited a computer lab with my school and we were all amazed that we could communicate from a computer to another in the same room. So internet definetely wasn't common.

From my memory of things it started to become more readily available 95 mainly. Some of my friends started to get powerful 14.4kbps modem. At that time it was pretty hard to look at porn...it was taking literally 2 min to download 1 picture.

I love hearing about the history of networking.

I remember being at my auntie's house when I was really small and she got some old VHS tape out of my cousin's room (he had long since moved out). It had a white paper label over on it were he'd written 'war film' or something. Anyway she put it on to occupy me and low and behold just as she left the room the dodgy old techno music started and it was some 1980s porn scenes with randoms scenes from some gangster (italian not gangstas) films inbetween.

When my aunty came back in the shit hit the fan and she tore out the tape from the cassette and broke it.

I remember we had 28.8kbps modem connections in early 2000s. Then we had to replace it with a broadband connection, because at times, we literally couldn't pay the phone bill.
