The Plastic Surgery Debate Thread

I find it repulsive (speaking for the people that get it for the sake of looking completely different) but I still think people should be able to do what they want.

:goggly:

She dun gone be purdy.

And there's nothing fake about her, well, atleast not the boobs anyway :p

I would like to have my deviated septum fixed...that mixed with my really bad allergies = shit

Yeah, I have that problem too (minus the allergies). It used to bea huge pain in the ass to breathe easily when I was sick or even if the weather was really humid. Now I'm pretty much fine...save for the damn awkwardness of my nasal ridge.

I don't see why it's anyone elses business to TELL someone they should be happy with the way they look and not want to "change themselves" for "superficial reasons". It's subjective and personal. Even if you just wanted to get rid of a bump in your nose to give you peace of mind and make you more comfortable with yourself and others, why the fuck not??? We've all had those thoughts of what we could change if we could. They are natural. It's okay.

That girl should have minded her own business, even if you did get your nose done for reasons other than medical it wouldn't make you a bad person and I don't think you or ANYONE shoudl say when people can have surgery and when they cannot. It is called free will. If you want to justify what you did by saying it was for medical reasons only and you'd never do it if it wasn't I think you're partially lying to yourself. If you had some sort of minor deformity and it made you feel horrible about yourself and if there was a surgery to fix it I think you would do it.

edit: This was to original poster.

I would say when a person has desire to get plastic surgery when there is absolutely nothing wrong with a person's appearance, outside of what is considered 'average/ordinary.' Of course, it isn't just that - I think implants, lips or nose jobs are also very very unattractive, and most often done so for reasons I don't agree with. I dislike the 'fake' look, as well as I think most females wear too much makeup, and both I think actually work against whatever natural beauty they may have imo.

Do you mean WOMEN???

Or do all females of every species do this?

Please refer to WOMEN as WOMEN please kthxbi.

Christ. One second you're talking like you want to liberate women from the role of vanity and the burden of elective surgery then the next you refer to them as females and not women.

what if i called you woman all the time?

as for surgery. i dont care. but huge tits dont do anything for me
~gR~

Referring to me as "woman" instead of by name when you know my name is derogatory, as is refering to me as "female" when you know I'm a woman.

Duh. :goggly:

Yeah I wouldn't ever get surgery on my breasts simply because I want my own. I would want real breasts (and not big huge ones). Fake tits don't do anything for me either. I like jiggly ones that also look real or little perky ones that have that lovely roundness.

Though I would like to point out that this thread should not have all fingers pointing to women like it does. Many more men get surgery than people even realize, and it is a growing trend. Elective surgery should no longer be associated solely with women. Though I agree that is who it's geared towards. Like EVERYTHING that has to do with physical appearence and youth.

that was so hot

yeah, alot of guys do it now. i wonder if they have dick enlargment surgery. id be rockin a 14" tallywhacker

did you know that elective cosmetic surgery is covered by tri care (military health insurance). that includes breast implants.
~gR~

Again, how would you be able to tell anyway? Say you come across a woman with a bigger-than-average chest, how do you know if they're fake or not? Right, you don't; so I'm assuming you just don't like big breasts. In my opinion, a good boob job is way more attractive than a flat or misshapen chest.

Hahhah oh my god, flat-chested women can't win... People hate that they're flat, and then they hate when they get implants because the implants are bound to look like 2 grapefruits stuck to their chest because they have no other fat around them.

I don't care what anyone says, I feel so much for those women because they are ridiculed and constantly made fun of for being flat, but then when they want to do something about it they are made to feel shallow. Their husbands cheat on them with larger breasted women but then come home and tell them they love them but they dont' have breasts. It's terrible, and I guess I can relate because I am an A cup and people now, in the age of large breasts or nothing, A's are considered flat when it is AA's or AAA's that are indeed actually flat. Though I guess I must point out in fear of ridicule from men here that I am a large A, and/or small B depending on time of month....... :erk:

I hate that my worth comes down to the size of my chest for some.

^ Big dicks FREAK ME OUT.

Seriously. Why do people like them??

why do people focus on breasts? sure there are some nice ones out there, and i wont deny that. but i'm all about the vag! cuz lets face it, breasts just arent a sex symbol anymore, now that people flaunt em.

if some chic was walking around topless at work, id probably look, and then go on with my day. now if she was nekkid, i wouldnt get anything done the rest of the... month!

youre so the gal for me! 3 inches of phocking fury!

jk, its more like 3.5

Get off your high horse. Just because there is worse out there doesn't mean it isn't a bad situation. That is like people arguing whether the plight of the Native Americans or African Americans is worse.

Stop being a fucking jackass. You have absolutely NO IDEA what it's like for a woman to not have breasts. At least I have somewhat of an idea because I'm on the small side and have indeed been termed as "flat" before. It's shittier than you think so stop being a fucking DICKFIST ABOUT IT.

It's usually really easy to tell if a woman has fake boobs actually. The way they sit, the shape, whether they're more rounded at the top etc.

I don't mind plastic surgery if it's done well and it's subtle. Lip jobs are my least favorite. They usually look ridiculous.

that's probably the dumbest thing ive ever read. my girlfriend has a relatively small chest, but i dont cheat on her or tell her i love her but hate her tits. if i was totally interested in big breasted women, id go pick one up in the first place. there is no correlation between chest size and cheating.

i honestly dont see why you get so worked up in the most pointless of arguments and argue the most extreme cases of idiocy to back up your point of view.

i never thought that having smaller boobs was an issue...i guess just find a guy that doesnt give a shit]

big dicks are...ehh tbch

They do. Blame channel 4 for me knowing that.

It involves a lot of bad layering, and some dodgy ass thing about not getting a hard-on for two weeks.

And to Susperia's point.

I never judge a woman outright on chest size, but truth be told, I'm a boob man.
Your point is rather null and void. It's quite unlikely that a man would fall in love with a flat-chested person but still desire someone with big boobs. The beginnings of love are partially based upon physical appearance, and so he probably wouldn't start anything serious enough to call love up.
And if that did happen, the boob thing is probably a cover-up for the fact he loathes her in every single way.

As a response to the original post...

For medical reasons it's always okay. People like the girl that yelled at you who argue that you are changing the way God intended you are retards and almost certainly hypocrites as well. You'd have to wonder if that girl would apply that same line of reasoning to herself if she were to be diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Probably not.

For purely cosmetic reasons it kind of depends on the situation. In principal I agree with people like V5 who argue that everyone should just be themselves. But in practice I think you need to accept that we do not live in a Utopian society where people treat eachother with respect and where are everyone is accepted regardless of what they look like (or who they are, for that matter). In reality our society is shallow and contains many people who will negatively judge someone by the way they look or even make fun of them without a second thought. So I can totally understand when people who look what society deems 'ugly' want to change themselves. It's easy to argue everyone should be themselves but if you've lived all your life with being teased, mocked and having your self-confidence crushed into oblivion I imagine that's not quite so easy.

What I am against is people who just take things too far and who get unnecessary plastic surgery when they already look fine (which ironically makes them look worse most of the time). And even more against those stupid fucking television shows where they encourage people to transform themselves into celebrity look-a-likes. That is vile.

^ Who really cares, I don't use it as a deragatory term, I use it to describe female animals, I call female humans "chicks" and little girls: little girls.

People who look down upon other peoples choices without even knowing the person or why they did it are just stupid.

People seem to forget when someone does something that they have as much of a story behind it as they do about their choices.
