Good choice. You'll get a nice pair of DA-converters, two headphone amps (they aren't really anything to write home about, though, but useful) and a versatile monitor controller with talkback. I love mine.

Do you guys find that the right side is louder when on super low settings? In other words, when you turn it clockwise, the right side is heard before the left side, but is balanced just past that level.

This is a common phenomenon with pretty much all passive controllers. It should happen on only the lowest settings. Calibrate your system so that you won't be using the Level Pilot on so low and it's no biggie.
Central Station's Speaker Trims are great for this.

me too... quite clunky when i wake up in the morning and start my day with some pr0ns and it is alarmingly at 98db for all my roomies to hear as i fumble around in a panic and take ten full seconds to turn it down ._.

HAHAHA! yeah we always make sure we turn it down before we turn everything off or on for the day haha. But also that's why we keep the pr0ns to the laptops haha

How's the presonus monitor station compared to the big knob, sm pro m patch 2 and against the more expense central station. I was gonna just get the M patch but the presonus monitor station seems to come with alot of features that would be handy and get used.

The monitor station is less colored then the big knob. But you can't go wrong with either controller. We use the big knob and it works just fine.
