The 'Promote Your Band' Thread Mk.II

THRASHIST REGIME are delighted to announce the release of their debut full-length album FEARFUL SYMMETRY through independent label FAT HIPPY RECORDS on the 2nd of April 2012.

Having cemented their reputation as one of Scotland’s foremost thrash metal artists, they have spent the last year carefully crafting a thought-provoking sonic masterpiece which tackles relevant social issues as diverse as Universal Soldier and enormous gas explosions in local pubs. Says frontman JOE JOHNSTON: “It’s taken longer than anticipated to get the album finished but we’ve just started mixing it and so far it sounds fantastic.” Produced by DAN GOLDSWORTHY (who has worked with Andy Sneap’s band HELL), the album title is a reference to a conceptual trilogy of songs about a SPIDERMAN adventure of the same name.

A launch tour will commence with a thrashtastic launch party at Captain Tom’s on the 31st of March. Being there is greatly advisable.

Further album/tour details will follow soon…

I might make us our own thread at some point if no-one objects... Groan had one and I'm not really sure that many people actually bother clicking on this one unless they're already promoting their own music.

Who? Shit band  Nah mate, well stoked for it! been a long time coming :D

I'm starting a new, purely-for-fun band called Third Option. Nothing to detract whatsoever from my obligations with Vindicator and the like, it's purely and simply to satisfy my creative cravings locally. It's a three piece that'll have me on guitar and vocals, playing a style much more akin to what I learnt the ropes with... i.e. groove metal with some thrash tinges. Don't recoil in horror, it'll be good! Got a drummer already and we're going to bust out some Prong and Ministry covers sometime soon. I'm looking forward to it, it's been a long time since I did something not only simplistic, but solely for the purpose of enjoying myself. I couldn't give a fuck about 'making it big' etc.

As for the Vindicator album, as so many people have messaged me about it, it's in the works. Chris is staying over my place this weekend to polish off some tracks, so we'll be on schedule. A winrar is us. The instrumental - entitled "Event Horizon", you lucky buggers get all the info! - is about 12 minutes long now, and it's genuienly GOOD. It's just a matter of whether or not Verm is a douchenozzle and fucking ruins all of our hard work.

On an entirely seperate note, I'm putting on Full Thrash Assault festival next year too. That will be amazing - naturally, Vindickator are playing. It'll be our glorious return from the studio, the debut of new music (almost exclusively, only two old songs are in the set) and we're recording the performance for a live EP. Shit's SO cash!

Hey everyone!

I have just started 'managing' a local thrash metal band called Fragmenta from down here in Adelaide who I think have great potential. Would be awesome if you guys could check em out and let me know what you think of them (Or buy a copy of their album if you like them that much!). Don't know if he'll read this but I'd like to get Ol's opinion on them too.

You can check them out or listen to some of their tracks on either Facebook, Myspace or their own website:
