The REAL football thread.

Soccer is EXTREMELY skill intensive. Your legs/feet are "less coordinated" than your hands are. Dribbling a soccer ball is much harder than dribbling a basketball, especially while running at high speeds, or when there are players for the opposing team going for the ball trying to take it away from you. And passing or shooting a soccer ball accurately is far more difficult than throwing any kind of ball accurately. You can take someone who is an exceptional athlete and put him on a soccer field, and he'll suck if he's never played before.
Try passing a ball and then try hitting a 95mph fastball. You'll agree with me

Baseball is extremely fucking skill intensive, and focus intensive... imagine being in the outfield for 6 innings before someone hits a ball your way, and then every person watching expecting you to go catch that ball. You have to have one hell of an attention span to play, much less watch, baseball.

Football= most athletic. Just look at the numbers these guys put up in workouts and the pounding they take, day after day.

Baseball=more skill
Not only 95mph fastballs, but you have to be ready for a 75 mph-drops-off-a-table curveball, as well as a multitude of other pitches.
Also, especially in the infield... do you realize the reaction time you have to have in order to make plays on line drives and just hops from the ball coming off the dirt?

Cricket is more skill intensive than baseball imho.

I maintain that cross-country skiing is the most athletic. Every muscle in the body is used, and, well... you're basically pushing your entire body along a track using both legs and arms, carrying a gun, and occasionally uphill, where gravity itself works against you.

Oh and Rangers v Fiorentina, was piss poor.

Anybody watched Yesterday's Champion's League match, Liverpool vs Chelsea? What an own goal from Riise.

i almost cried.

riise is my favorite player. i cant believe that happened

i still think liverpool will make it through. they have always done much better against english teams in the champions league for some odd reason.

and stop talking about other sports. who cares.

we play the same position and hail from the same region.

the reason i start following liverpool in the first place was because i was looking into norwegian soccer. he is by far the best norwegian pro playing today.

plus, that guy is explosive. once he gets on one of his light speed attacks, you cant stop him. too bad he hasnt had one of those this season. he has a mean shot too.
