I never could really get into Queensryche but I never hated them or anything either. I'm definitely interested in hearing their new one though.

I'd say "The 'Ryche" doesn't fall under abbreviations, like lmao or lol or SOAD or Go2E or whatever. The 'Knot is just a way of referring to Slipknot in a slangy, familiar, trying-to-be-cool way. Linguistically interesting but otherwise cliche.

Well after Empire they went downhill... their following albums had some good (and some great) songs but overall very disappointing.

Operation Mindcrime II is a continuation of the story of Nikki who is now 20 years older and released from prison.

A great song called The Chase see's Nikki come face to face with Dr X from the first album - and guess who voices Dr X?

RONNIE J DIO!!!!!!!!!! Him and Tate work well off each other. 2 of the best voices in Metal ever on 1 song! KILLER.

Hoping it grows on me. Only songs I am really into now are One Foot In Hell and The Hands. Hope that changes...

i have the same problem. I liked Q2K and ... whatever was before that one better overall. it wasn't metal but it was better music than most of whats on the CD. Maybe i shouldn't have been expecting a return to the sound they had on mindcrime. but hell and hands are two badass tracks.
