Hey guys,

As I've come to do more and more mixes of projects I haven't tracked myself. I've found that my bank of drum samples has become rather limited. I hate getting to a phase where you re-use the same samples on different projects. I think it's very important to keep diversity between all the projects you do, so I figured I'd make a thread where we could all share a few samples, or sample packs with each other and hopefully all come off better for it in the long run.

The one I'd like to have pointed you all to is the Machinae Supremacy pack which contains my 'go-to' snare for all salvage operations, but sadly it seems to have been pulled offline. As such I don't really have any that I can share, with what limited webspace I have available.

I hope someone else can get this thread rolling though :)

cool thread!

I use this kick quit alot, allthough it needs some tweaking.

And if this thread counts for impulses too, i could also upload the 2 free impulses from purespace that came with the last free SOS DVD, which i use alot:)

Btw, if anyone can post some D drum 4 kick sample or send me some, i would be pretty gratefull!

And now post your samples and good impulses bitches!!!:headbang:

Cool thread, count me in..

will post some samples later tonight, i got some KICKASS samples y'all probably never heard of a guy called Andy... Andy Sneap!

And some others i have here.. great thread!

Right... first one:

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=EE7E9DED21B70F5D

Have not tried it yet myself, but it sounds great on it's own!

Second one:

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=91E68D126FAD906A

I mostly use that one when blended with another sample... i use this one around 30/40% or so, sounds really nice when blended in..

Third one:

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=173A6FEA77FA2D5A

same story as the "false" kick.. sounds pretty good when blended.. a bit too boomy for me when i use it on its own...

now post yours! :Smokin:

Okay. Here are a bunch of samples that I did myself:

http://www.faderhead.com/blogs/mp3/faderhead_drumsamples.zip

The ZIP includes:

1 Tama Starclassic Kick, 3 samples
5 Tama Starclassic Toms, left/right on each Tom
1 Pearl Snare, 10 different hits
1 Sonor Snare, 10 different hits

The toms are panned left to right because that's what I needed in that project.

The snare files are not cut because I haven't used them so far.

Hope you enjoy!

Oh and Moonlapse, please share your "go-to snare". I'd really like to hear it!

And also here's the link to his original wav's incase you don't use GOG files. Just to let some of the newer members know, you need to chop these up in order to use them. The GOG files however you do not.

Btw smy1, that's a great sounding kit. The samples sound very roomy though. Did you have an ambient mic blended with that, or were the close mics just backed off from the kit?

Thanks. All the samples have an ambient mic blended in. I wanted to get a good single hit and later removed the ringing/ambience in battery. That snare you posted sounds highly useable too! Gonna try it on a project right now.

@Vuts: Thanks man!

@cobhc: thanks for putting up the Sneap .gog files!
