what do you all think of the overall sound of SOWN?
Its a great album, great songs, one thing that has always bugged me is Charlies drums. Excellent performance, but on some songs they sound almost, too big, with too much reverb, almost sounds like an electronic kit. The guitars sound great, great performances by everybody. It would be interesting to hear the album mixed a little dryer.

I remember when it came out I was in the NFFC and they sent out a tape of the SOWN demos and it sounded killer. Poison My Eyes was on it.

So what do you think?

While I know what you mean about the drums sound - I'll never complain about anything to do with SOWN. It is awesome - start to finish.

I don't mind the mix, although i agree it's a bit muddy in parts. That aside it's still my favorite album of all time...

I don't think there's a single thing wrong with SOWN. It's my favourite... although some days I think Vol.8 is. Hmmm... they're both brilliant... okay it's a tie.

Vol 8 if my fave album of all time . so wacht what youre saying! =p SOWN annoys me cos of the guitars. On some songs (ahem HY PRO GLO) they just sound weak. especially when compared to to Ministry remix.
