REVIEW
This is an interesting album but is no way metal related, period. The artists, Trond Engum a Norwegian, is THE SOUNDBYTE. His musical vision is a dark cacophony of cutting, cold sounds that are intermingled with an 80s style Brit-Pop panache. It feels more like a move soundtrack for a dark low budget thriller. Each track tells its own story and there is a certainly a feel of emotional detachment that resonates throughout the album. On closer inspection it turns out that the album was recorded in isolation on a boat somewhere out in the North Sea.
If cold atmospheric music is what youre into and you like the idea of someone capturing the emotional meaning of isolated loneliness then this album is your boat ticket.
