The Surrealist / Stream of Thought writing Thread

We likes our bleam, we plays it well, on candied shores, we rose and fell. Your guts we see, and dance with glee, for now it seems, our minds are free. We think a thought, through brine and cake, we must, we ought, to drive the stake. Through temple drive, and digging deep, we alter future, but past we keep.

I'm flying in Nintendo-space
Mario Red Cap Paradise
The Rainbow Road skies
The great neon signs

A mascot chicken prancing around a baseball arena
"Tag-you're-it!" in the backyard at night
Those giant polished amethyst crystal cross-sections
from the World of Science store

Tarot cards on a fancy cloth covered table
Silent hospital bedrooms at night
A daycare center with giant blocks and playhouse sets
scattered all across the floor

Ships in bottles
A bunch of balloons escaping into the sky at a fair
Muddy shoes
A hotdog-eating contest
Jimmy Durante - "Ha-cha-cha-cha-cha-chaaaa!"

Secret science labs in Superman cartoons
Remote-control miniature helicopters
The Addams Family
Sewer sludge monster
Zombie zebras jumping graveyard fences

"Crikey, there be lobsters in me pants!"
Sheep-shearers and tree-trimmers
Cupcake cookers and crumpets
Grey gravy dripped over dumplings

Mister Philosophy
Whom time teaches prosperity
A curve lying tangent to the plane of ideals
"Finally, some apple for my sauce!"
Fried chicken wrapped in wax paper
Balancing plates teetering on loss

Many Venuses have I seen
And between us we have the Queen
Disappearing in silk, and remaining unseen

SWEET. a writing thread.

I have a small series of things I wrote around this time last year... they have a certain order and tell something of a 'story' but not quite as linear. It's hard to explain the meaning and purpose in a short post but they have to do with a mixture of feelings, atmosphere, and different dreams and things. I figure one or more of them would fall under thread criteria, so here's 'The Crossroads'..which is also the most 'catchy' of the songs:

------------------

The men were drawing down the moon
Then struck with bloodied faces, turned away
At the crossroads

Your polluted womb repulses me
High priestess of heresy
Why did you break the circle

Death to all your children
Or birth them to affliction
It makes no difference anymore

In the deepest midnight hour, I projected
Lights were flashing, the beast was howling
And I saw

The men were drawing down the moon
Then struck with bloodied faces, turned away
At the crossroads

The Earth was calling out for doom
And taking vengeance swallowed you
At the crossroads

Your raping flesh enrages me
Wasteland of vulgarity
Why did you kill the warrior

In the darkest desert
We've come to see your comfort
You crave suffering, and suffer you shall

Slowing down the hour, I projected
Visions passing, stars were crashing
And I saw

The men were drawing down the moon
Then struck with bloodied faces, turned away
At the crossroads

The Earth was calling out for doom
And taking vengeance swallowed you
At the crossroads

Bow down to misery
The air can hear you breathe
And in the winds, the colours
The colours start to bleed

Now there'll be no peace
Disease has entered me
And in the sands, the end
The end is all I see

Good stuff. Concise use of each line. A lot of the imagery seems rather stereotypical, though I'm not sure what the story behind it's supposed to be. I thought the last two stanzas were especially powerful.

The whole thing in a very basic sense deals with the Earth sort of winding down and life kind of submitting to nothingness, though it's people's fault the world is turning that way... but there's only sort of a stiff sadness and apathy, rather than concern, so it's a cycle. The 'end' as it were for humanity and what's going on with the world to cause it contains a lot of what people would call both 'supernatural' and 'religious' elements. Some parts of what humanity has done is destroy and pillage the purity and intention of the nature/destiny of man and woman, and since within that is a large key to anything that might be considered objectively 'good' in us, it's snowballed and recoiled on us.....everything presented regarding the man and the woman is backwards from how it should be, for example only the woman 'draws down the moon'. The other imagery has to do with strange dream-vision things and one in particular involving lights, doors, and my actual projection. All things coincide so I wrote this part of the series.

This one is the most recent 'normal' one I wrote, and the music is all there for it already as well..very dramatic power-thrash..very excited about this one..and it tends to draw bitching/criticism and discomfort from all angles, which I like...'The Human Residue':
----------------------------------------

A weather weary face
Hollow, sunken eyes
Lips that cannot kiss
Diseased from deep inside

A worn, abandoned place
A fortress made of lies
How did it come to this
A man so horrified

They'll put themselves beside you
They'll brand themselves upon you
They'll see themselves unto you
Standing in line with lust in their eyes to possess you

With scar after scar
The things we choose to do
Please take me apart
From the human residue

Scar after scar
The things I couldn't do
I've ruined my heart
With human residue

A soul that's stretched and thin
A body filled with sin
The weakened voice within
Not again....no, not again

They'll put themselves inside you
They'll force themselves onto you
They'll make themselves to be you
Waiting in line with greed in their eyes to afflict you

With scar after scar
The things we choose to do
Please take me apart
From the human residue

Scar after scar
The things I couldn't do
I've ruined my heart
With human residue

I've thrown myself in misery
For the sake of normalcy
Move on, and on, and on and on
Feed the people's fallacy

The lake of flesh, the piercing burn
More filthy than it's dirt of birth
For all the bliss forgiveness is
It doesn't heal the pain on Earth

I can't hate more intense
We've impaled all continence
Objects draining objects
Collecting innocence

A regret is all I am
And regret is all I have
If I could turn back time
And do it all again

To touch
To know
To feel deep inside

To have
To love
To hold against the tide

To stave the thirst
To give so vast
To rule among, to share with none
To stay safe in a promise cast

To be the first
To be the last
To be the one, the past undone
To make love under stained glass

I cry
I die
I've cried a thousand times
I cry
I die
I've died a thousand times inside

Scar after scar after scar is all we do
Washing our spirits away with human residue

Yeah... Can't say I would've caught that from my brief reading of it. Definitely more back story than what goes into any of my work. :) I'll have to take a closer look sometime.

Magnetic Marmalade –
Marbopperetta, stick thy socks in the meat parade!
Don't chant or shout 'til the neighbors are out:
Defenestrations and esplanades!

He sent quinine through the mainlines of Miss MississippY
Arm beams chasin' my chain-babies! . . . . . . . . . . . .. ^ (dat's da vagoo)
An' all the town lolitas got rabies!
Dat's da way it [va]goes in Gobbler Knob, Appalachey

Now, stately tomatoes of Chicago, raise a toast!
Steaking spaghetti arcs over the waves of Orange Ocean
We squeeze and squelch the last succulent juices of Springtime!
Good Ladies, arise, and part lips for the Shanalanalalala...

Semblance of a santa-cloud
Brings me to the daisy town
I was soon to meet the Master Tune!
Don't go, he's COMING NOW

Didn't you see that!
Didn't you see why?
Didn't you see him,
Don't you see what's WRONG!??

SIR ELTON JOHN WILL SHOW YOU HOW

Boy, you're breaking hearts on a raaaaaa-zor line!
You're breeeaaaking Lord Tennyson's rhyyyyyme!
Boy, your mind has broke up from insanity –
I hope you're happy now!

Forget not the Santa-roped monstrosities of Yesteryear, for it is through this dentally nutritious Canon of Non-Realistic Creeks of Hunches do we unite our hotdog-lovers' metaphors under one Glorious Hotdog Stand Run By That Mexican Guy On The Corner!

Rise - rise and be bellyflopped!!

twitching across an alley road.
young girls are being sodomized,
with split throats.
the shivers of a wiseman,
digesting needles in his arm.
inhaling black lung,
through a pipe made of stale bone.
bitter screams,
echo from attractive freaks.
painted with a color-less hate
what you cannot see
you can taste.

Fighting evil by moonlight
Winning love by daylight

And her name is Sailor Moon!
She will never turn her back on her friends
She is always there to defend
She is the one we can depend
She is the one named Sailorrr

Sailor Venus
Sailor Mercury
Sailor Mars
Sailor Jupiter

Seeking power is so new to her
She is the one named sailor moon

Fighting evil by moonlight
Winning love by daylight
Against the megaverse she helps fight
She is the one named sailor moon

She is the one!

Sailor Moon

Happy?

Nah, there used to be plenty of people who contributed here - especially V5, Ack, DarkBliss and Val. They all seem to have become lameasses since then though. :(

Yeah but the Sailor Moon opening is much less gay than that band. I mean what kind of bandname is Nightwish.

1. Ride My Rocket

in this day and time of metal magic
we need rock and roll
we need PANTERA!

I didn't wanna touch you
since we were both sixteen
didn't wanna take you down
and show you what love means
now is the time
this is the place
get ready to take a chance
we don't have a minute to waste

ride my rocket
wear me out
ride my rocket
make me twist and shout
ride my rocket
give me all of your love
ride my rocket
I just can't get enough.

You leave me breathless
when you walk by
the way you move it girl
makes you satisfy
You might be the best
that i've ever had
it's gotta be good girl
cuz it looks so bad

ride my rocket
wear me out
ride my rocket
make me twist and shout
ride my rocket
give me all of your love
ride my rocket
I just can't get enough.

[*guitar solo*]

feels so good
makes my heart break
every time you touch me
i explode into flames

ride my rocket
wear me out
ride my rocket
make me twist and shout
ride my rocket
give me all of your love
ride my rocket
I just can't get enough.

1. Hot And Heavy

You say that
you want a piece of me
well baby
take a big bite
too much to believe
that's what I like
I've been known
to blow my top
just to get my kix
I might eat
your heart out
just to get my kix

I've got a line on U
I've got my ize on U
I'm gonna luv U
Black and blue
I'm cummin' down on U

I'm burnin' hot
HOT AND HEAVY
It's what I want
HOT AND HEAVY

Take a look at
my ice cream cone baby
go ahead take a lick
can't wait
to take you home
beat you with my stick
I've seen what
you got before
but I'd like
to see it again
it's red hot
that's for sure
tell me girl
where and when
