Not sure what it's like in America but in this country for the last 40 years we've had fly-by-night Persian Rug companies. They come along once a year and rent out some big hall, thrash the TV with ads about it and claim to have a "closing down sale" with stock up to 90% off. It happens so often in different parts of the country I think anyone who pays full price for a Persian rug is an idiot, (mind you anyone who believes these companies can go out of business every year and sell at 90% off is also an idiot!)
