The Unstoppable LUNCH Thread!

is that book gonna try to make me hate chinese restaurants? because i dont know if thats possible.

^ not at all!!!

It's just explains about how chinese food in America has been developed to what it is today, and how it is different than the food in China, and how the author (who is Chinese) has experienced it... it tells about the history of the food, etc... I found it interesting.

Where does teriyaki fit into this discussion? I should probably eat something and it sounds like the least boring option right now.

haha, at work, my co-worker and i had a conversation that followed this basic pattern:

her: that guy i just rung up almost his wallet at a chinese food restaurant.
me: that sucks. i want chinese food now.
her: me too. i know this chinese place we used to always order from when we were baked.
me: awesome. *brief pause where i kinda stare off into space* my mom bakes a lot now. i want cookies.
her: me too. i love the randomness of our brains.
me: me too. it's awesome.

I've been accumulating avocados and have been unsure what to do with them, so then I realized guacamole would be an excellent choice. After looking up guacamole "recipes" and feeling lazy, I noticed that basically I would be mixing salsa into avocados. From there I brilliantly deduced I could just take salsa from a jar and stir it into smashed avocados! Partial success.. added some kosher salt... MAJOR SUCCESS. Some lime juice would have improved it even more, but alas, I had none. Next, how to eat it?! I ate half just from the bowl but I wanted to experience something new. I toasted some bread and spread it on there, and if anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought man forget it, yo homes to bel air!
