The Unstoppable LUNCH Thread!

BUT, there are lots of different styles of hummus made in different regions of the middle east and mediterranean. I once ate hummus at a Jordanian restaurant that used yogurt instead of tahini and was served hot.

I thought the most important part of the hummus was the garbanzos?! If you replace that with white beans it's poser hummus!

You are correct. and it is Chickpeas... another important element of hummus is the tahini sauce: if you don't have that in your hummus, don't even claim it's hummus...
And yeah, Lord Foul: there are many ways and styles of hummus, but at the end: the best ones are the Lebanese, Syrian, and Israeli.
Sometimes in israel I eat it hot too, in a dish that is called: MASBACHA depends on my mood....

Oh and Max, now that you've been to that part of the world, do you pronounce hummus correctly? :D

I say hoo-mus...

I however do not like Humus...

As for what I had for lunch. I went to the Local Taqueria and hadmyselfachicken Torta, with Two Budlight limes.

hmmmm cheap tasty food, and cheap not so bad Liquer.
