The "What are you REALLY thinking about?" thread

what i dont like with christmas is that now, the decorations come in stores so soon (ie first day of november), and around christmas you get already bored of seeing it all. it ruins the magic of christmas.

In Belgium, we have on Dec. 6 a feast called St. Nicolas. The guy is supposed to bring candies in the shoes of children from mid november to Dec 6, and in the night from Dec 5 to 6, he brings more candies and presents. When i was younf, during November, in all stores/catalogs, you could see lots of ads for St. Nicolas. Now its like he is disappearing, because we see more and more ads for christmas even before st nicolas ...
Its weird because kids used to get more presents at st nicolas, and christmas was more about getting together with the family that lives far away (we never had any christian signification to it in my family). Now kids become more presents at christmas, and it is indeed all about money and presents.

Santa and St Nick are 2 different guys, but Santa Claus is actually the american version of St Nicolas... but itextended itself to the whole world :p

Here is St. Nicolas

I'm thinking about how annoyed I am that I have my lesson at school of rock at 4:30 and I have to find the chord progressions to 2 other backing tracks. Shit, I think if I can't finish it I'll be kicked out. I'll probably get it done though.
