FARK! We just had an earthquake (although bear in mind I don't know at what point a earth tremor becomes an earthquake). There is no damage or anything and no idea where the epicentre was but apparently it's been felt for about 100 odd miles. We've had a few over the years we've been here but none that lasted for as long as this one did. The house shook for nearly a full minute and it just grew in intensity. The last time I felt one here only went for about 15 secs and didn't feel anything near as rough as this one.

Oh well that's my excitement for the day!

Oh man. I've only experienced one and it was pretty mild. And not very long. But having everything moving was kind of disconcerting. Glad your house is still in one piece!

They should put their money where their stupid mouths are and redo it then. I'm sick of hearing about how good it would have been. I like the album.

Dead Set! I don't understand what the hell is wrong with it. Sure it's easy to sit back today and say it should have been produced by X, or this song needed more bass, or that song needed a better chorus. But that's just nitpicking for the sake of it. The album is a classic and it's the album that scored them a good portion of their fan base. To shit on it now is just stupid. It also suggests that given they've had time to 'bake' the new album it's automatically going to be better.

Up until now I'd only felt mild ones and to be honest I wouldn't have rated this one very high just a continual rumble. Previous times it's been quick but this time I did have a chance to sit and look at the house, listen for noises that could have been dangerous etc, however I never got up and tried to protect myself (or the family), or run out of the house, so I wasn't thinking the house was going to fall down or anything. Maybe that was a mistake given it's magnitude, but either way nothing serious happened here. Apparently it's the strongest quake to hit Australia in years, but it was magnified by the fact it was fairly shallow and they are now saying it was felt for about a 500 mile radius. There has been some reports of damage in the city but not sure if there is any more close to the epicentre.

As a strange comparison, a few years ago we watched an explosion in the "Super Pit" (a coal mine in Kalgoorlie) that explosion was something like 120 detonators loosening 500 ton of rock. Our earthquake at Mag 6 didn't feel as powerful as the explosion of dynamite from about 3/4 of a mile away but it did last longer.

I'm going by older stuff. But in the past NB has really cheaped out on these things.

That Clickbait one today is 48 seconds and included Zet singing a few words, so as you can imagine the content is not much. I would hope NB can do better than that.

Haha! Yeah! By their own logic the next album better be the best thing they've ever done. They've had nothing but time.
I'd love for them to be specific about what their problems are and exactly which songs. It's been pretty easy for them over the years to say how good it would have been. And it needed to "bake" more. But what Exactly would they have done differently? I mean it sounds like they have very strong ideas about what should have been done right? I'll wait for the crickets to clear.

Wow a Super Pit? That's pretty crazy and sounds very metal!

I'm glad you guys didn't get it any worse. I can't imagine a worse time to have to have your house fixed and appliances replaced. Everything is so expensive right now and people still have to wait for things. Not to mention the squish factor!

The album has also had an anniversary re-release hasn't it? Why the hell didn't they fix the problems with it and re-record it as a part of the anniversary. Seems like a bit of a rip off to the fans to have them say 'we could have done better, but here's the shitty old version with the word anniversary on the cover'.
