The what's going on in Thrash thread

Oh I just got the news you've been waiting for Jnr Merch is having a sale until the 4th of April. Until the 4th you can buy that covers album you always wanted for 15% of the already great price of $toomuch.

I was thinking about that Lamb Of God article and how it says (paraphrasing) they had two ultra successful quarantine concerts.
Testament was one of the first bands to talk about one. It seemed like they had all these plans for it. Now they don't even talk about it.
They wanted to do it and they couldn't get their sit together to do it. They couldn't make it happen as a band!
It's extremely disheartening that a band as old and legendary as this couldn't pull it together when so many others and in many cases lesser bands could.

Oh yeah!?! Awesomeness! Said no one ever.

His company bought the Combat back catalogue which does suggest there could be some stuff worth having. The only thing that might go against that is that I think I remember reading Combat has been through multiple record companies since Megadeth where on the label and multiple owners have off loaded it cheaply, so maybe there isn't much left worth having. I seem to remember Jnr speaking more about the sale being for the name and not the catalogue which he hoped to rebuild.

Would have anything to do with locations? My US geography is not that great but I have heard some bands suggest actual live streaming shows on a stage were not possible due to the band members being together. I know one of the Dropkick Murphys couldn't cross state lines for their gig last week so they just stuck pictures of him on the stage and got a fill in. Such geographic issues wouldn't hold up one of those streaming videos from everyone's lounge room but it might stop an actual live stream.

Well I think they would have taken that into account when they were talking about it. As band leaders if Chuck and Eric want the band to do something, a special show. The rest of the band should make it happen unless there is some serious reason not to.
The only thing I remember being mentioned is that they had to Get Alex there from NY. And if 1 person is really the hold up. Then that sucks.
Or just say we're not doing it now and I'll shut up.

But I think it would have been really cool and special for us fans.

I think they probably should address why it was going to happen and now it's not. I don't know how long these restrictions are going to last (we're allowed to go to the shops without a mask on as of tonight), but it would seem like it's definitely worth addressing the idea no matter which side of the argument they have decided upon.

Yes thank you. They need to fill us in.

I'm just kind of tired of them teasing us with things. The fan pick set list. The show they did with the first two albums back to back that they said was professionally filmed and said would be released but never was. Now this quarantine show. And there's been a few other things.

I just want more Testament!!!

It seems there has been quite a few shows filmed that we haven't seen released in any form yet. That Heavy Metal Universe FB page shows quite a wide variety of videos from different years. I realise some of them are festival shows and therefore Testament may not be able to release them, but there has been other clips from shows which I'm sure must have been fully recorded.

It's like that show that recently surfaced from the RIP tour, we've seen Nick's camp release a couple of songs from the show, which seems to indicate the entire show was filmed professionally, so why haven't we seen such an great show released from the Megadeth camp?
