The what's going on in Thrash thread

What's really fucking stupid is that labels don't set up local distribution here. I realise for the bands local distro deals would be difficult, although bands like Alestorm and Dropkick Murphys can manage it, but for an entire label it would make sense.
Yeah I agree it's completely crazy. What an untapped market Australia is. You'd think someone would have some foresight.

I saw that. Such a douche bag.
I changed my response. I really wanna burn this guy instead of swearing at him. He's got a lot of nerve posting on Zet's channel. Knowing he hates thrash and has repeatedly called Exodus d and c league.

It does take a certain amount of dedication to constant hit the sites of bands and singers you don't like. It's bad enough spending your day doing it on Blabber, but to do it on multiple other sites as well really shows how little life the moron has.

Hey, did you get the Flotz interview to work?
Lol... I did! And then I stopped after 2 minutes because it sounded like the interviewers were going to have a bunch of spoilers about the album.
I don't want too many spoilers! Does it seem like anyone who wants to interview a band gets the album way ahead of time? Because I've never heard of them. they seemed Russian.

It's a big reason why the local metal scene here is so large. It might not rival other countries and many of the bands may not get international success but bands and promoters here have learnt to do everything for themselves and sell themselves to the local fans. If it wasn't for actually wanting a Flotz shirt because it's one of the few main bands I listen too that I haven't ever had, I could probably choose quite a few shirts from local bands and have the shirt here by the end of the week.

Nah there wasn't a heap of spoilers. They did talk about some new songs, talk about their influence and talk about how they got made but there was no sound bites and nothing that gave away anything more than background information. There was talk about new guy hazing, solo stealing, riff copying, general shenanigans and the writing process. There was also talk about a new AK Coral album and other side projects as well.

I have no idea who the guy with the weird accent was or where he was from but the guy from Bravewords was obviously the connection between the podcaster and Flotz. I'd suggest the long time friend and fan from Bravewords was doing the interview but then used the podcaster guy to publicise and air the interview.

Does he even respond though?
If he's commenting on all those Blabber posts, then getting on YT and doing it chances are he's doing it for a a heap of other bands and musos as well. Would he even have time to come back and argue? I've noticed he doesn't respond that often on Blabber if people are disagreeing with him, only when they are agreeing.

I'm sure it rivals ours and then some!

Melbourne and Sydney would no doubt rival some places in the world. The big difference here has always been that bands don't get singed to world wide deals. Small local labels sign some and occasionally some bands get overseas deals but in general the label activity here isn't like it ever was in America or Europe so therefore bands focused on the local scene and made it as large as they could. It's kind of like wrestling here, WWE is obviously the pinnacle of the sport (even if it's not real) and many wrestlers here tried to get WWE deals and followings but so few did and instead focused their energies locally and although we'll never have the stadium filling events like WWE Australia still has a massive wrestling scene.(bloody weirdos :) )

Ok cool. I'll go back to it. Sounds good.

Yeah. I really don't get that. Not for adults anyway. Taking a kid to one of those wrestling events would be different.

I did and it was pretty cool very informative now we’re up to date! Are you happy to hear that there’s gonna be another AK Corral effort?!

Yes and no. I haven't bought the first album but I've listened to it a few times so while I wont be rushing to buy it I'll give it a listen because I really think AK's diversity is worth applauding.

I was more interested in who'd win in a fight between Eddie and Flotz! But I was even more interested in the response to that question...how fucking cool would that be?

He must really have no other life than being a keyboard warrior. I'm pretty sure it gives him a hard on when people agree with him. However I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he's such a keyboard warrior he has multiple accounts and the people agreeing with him are actually him on other accounts.

Yeah I don't really get it either. I can sit and watch WWE and laugh along at the yelling matches (although it's all pay for view here so I don't) and when they've had good musos play intros I've watched it for that stuff but to me if I watch it it's about the comedy. I might click on the occasional video someone links but it's to see what ridiculous things they do not because I have a favourite in the fight.

When my cousin started doing it I was a interested in how a bunch of amateurs could choreograph such moves without killing each other, because they still do table matches and ladder matches etc, but there was still no interest in the actual fighting bit. Now days when I watch my cuz do promo videos I just laugh at how silly he is and how ridiculous he looks trying to talk trash about other people. Although I have to give him credit, for a semi-pro wrestler only doing one show a month the guy has had the opportunity to meet some of the biggest in the business, his latest video even featured Bret The Hitman Hart.
