Dave said he joked about that title. I hadn’t heard it was actually set.

I feel like Jnr probably sold his soul to Mustaine when he came back. I bet they don’t have to pay him shit. Or maybe Jnr was due for a pay increase lol.
You know, this is like negotiating with a terrorist. Jnr got taped without his knowledge and then somehow someone who is angry with the band and has gone after other members got to be friends with the woman who recorded it. Put it out there to get Jnr and sounds like the band. And Mustaine gave it to them by firing him and getting rid of his bass tracks. Evil intent successful! Revenge had! Bad guy wins.
Maybe they are blackmailing Mustaine cause they have worse on him…

I did wonder after that comment about the girl being known to the band whether anyone else had done anything. It would be hilarious (not for Jnr) if it comes out down the track that Mustaine was bribed into all this

That’s a thought. I would feel a little better if Jnr did somehow do that.

As much as Mustaine owns Megadeth I would reckon Jnr would be well within his right to take anything he created with him. It's different on an existing album that's already out there but on something unreleased any part Jnr wrote or created becomes his IP and Dave can't use it without permission. Maybe when the album comes out we'll find out how much Mustaine relied of Jnr but how good or bad it is.

Yeah I'm quickly getting over this album. It's going to want to be good or I wont bother with it. I also don't know where all the support is coming from, as Dave calls it, pretty much every site I've seen Megadeth mentioned on lately has undeniable support for Jnr. People were predicting that if Jnr remained in the band they would see banners and all about wankers at every show. I hope those banners still turn up but now say "Mustaine is the wanker!"

Yup I’m already over it lol. I was really looking forward to a Megadeth album. Not another Mustaine album. It’s just never the same without Jnr, with the possible exception of TSHF. I really wanted to hear a band that had gelled together.

He would be. But you're right. Anyone that fills that slot is gonna have a hard time. Plus Spencer plays with his fingers. Mustaine is really stupid to have that as a rule.

When I was looking through wiki yesterday it's surprising how long this album has gone on. I know Mustaine's cancer didn't help and it's good that he got through that but this album has been in the process since 2018. According to wiki which I think is backed up with articles I remember reading they were in the studio in 2019 before Dave's cancer. Sure the album might not have been finished before his cancer but it's no wonder we are over the idea of the album. We waited a long time for it, read a lot about it and now Dave's going to hold it up even further and not deliver all that he promised.

I'm actually surprised he hasn't gone the other way and said "jnr plucked I needs someone with fingers so Jnr had to go, it was the straw that broke the camels back man!"

Yeah we are in the rather fortunate or maybe unfortunate position here that band booze is way too expensive for anyone but the die hard fan to buy. Pretty much none of the band booze is stocked locally and import duties on booze just doesn't make it worth while so Megawhine hasn't been something I've ever wanted. While Megadeth shirts etc are pretty good I also haven't been tempted with them for a while given I still have my RIP Tour shirt. So the only money MegaDave has been getting off me for a while is album money and we all know he makes nothing from albums so I feel okay suggesting he's not getting anything off me
