The what's going on in Thrash thread

If people like Anthrax and Megadeth can't get their album done now with having nothing to do but sit around then there's a problem. Especially Anthrax. They're always taking about how easy it is to make songs by just sending files. Put up or shut up time!

Yeah I agree. From what I've seen on FB Megadeth are still talking about the album. But nothing from Anthrax.
I doubt Dave himself came up with that icon songs thing but I think it's good they are keeping in touch with the fans and giving them something to do. Rob Halford keeps throwing up silly little challenges and I've seen other bands at least doing things. But Anthrax haven't even posted.

FARK! Isolation is getting the better of me. Force Of Habit the other day. Risk today, possibly even World Needs a Hero later.

Slammed that is a Fucking sweet head unit man and at a sweet deal! I still fully expect a live showing of it!

That Amazon page shows the price as $139 plus $30 postage for me, not sure what it shows for you but I got it from ebay for $100 free post. I've haven't had it switched on yet, I probably should have but I've been busy. I haven't got the tyre pressure monitor, the DAB or the dashcam recording modules, but once it's working I'm going to buy the engine monitoring module.

Wow really?! I thought we all should be spending this time wisely, this ain’t no Arsenio Hall show destroy something!

I destroyed myself, not sure if it's bad sleeping or soldering over my head while standing with one foot on a ladder and one on a shelf, but whatever it was I fucked my neck and shoulders. Listening to World Needs a Hero means I don't feel the need to headbang :)

Grrr I guess that means I have to listen! I hope they get so much positive feedback that Kurdt realizes how shitty of a producer he is!

It's never going to be perfect but it really does show how bad Kurdt is for Metal Church. If an entire album sounded like that one song rather than Damned IF You Do, I'd probably buy it.

I put this here because I know you're not reading the other thread in case we spoil something :P

I don't know that anyone really knows what is going to happen to touring bands after this BS dies down but good on Chuck for saying he'll still meet fans. Obviously they (everyone) will take a few more precautions from now on, but I bet Testament and Co don't even know where they got the virus so to blame fans would be silly.

My bets are the airport when they were leaving, or even the plane. Alex and Eric and whoever went a different way and they didn't get sick.

Risk is heavier?! Serious question. I've heard two songs off Risk in all these years. One I think was acoustic?

I think Risk is closer to metal than WNAH, but don't let it be mistaken for metal. I know some say WNAH was almost a return for Megadeth but I really think it was still an alt metal album rather than thrash, whereas I think Risk still had a few elements of metal, just very poorly executed.

Maybe Chuck and Gary kissed too many at the meet and greet? :)
Still I think it would have been easy for Chuck to say 'screw meet and greets' but instead he's taken a realistic approach and not blamed the closeness of gigs and meeting people for the transmission which would have been the easy thing to do.
