The what's going on in Thrash thread

Lol I honestly don't think I could deal with either f them.

That's weird. I think Metal Blade is usually on the ball.

It would be difficult but at least Ripper can hold a tune, it's when he stops singing and starts talking that makes me cringe.

I think it was just an oversight with timezones.

Not to kick the guy for trying to make a buck but fucking hell is there anything Dave wont put his name too...other than a new Megadeth album!!

In typically bad journalism the fourth paragraph starts by mentioning the name of a person who wasn't previously named in the article which has the reader questioning who the fuck this Fortier person is. But that aside I really don't see anything too appealing here. Basically this is little more than Wordpress or the like on a bigger scale. Would any budding author want to get their novel printed and distributed by simply having the ability to publish it themselves, for sure. But that doesn't mean they should. Most authors are terrible at reading, editing and publishing their own work, most are too emotionally caught up with the novel to do it the justice it might deserve. Maybe Jnr is not that sort of person, but looking at the cover, reading what it's about, I'm not sure I can give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't know if I can click on this. But I do wonder what on earth could possibly be so interesting in Jr's brain that he thinks it should be published.
I'm torn! :yell:

It's really just a puff piece for Jnr to tell people he's releasing a book that isn't a bio. The premise is a bit silly, a hire hitman that is in a band. Surely being in a band and on stage goes against the idea of a high price hitman who would want to remain anonymous? But to me it's more about the idea that he thinks he can write and publish something just like real authors have been doing for years but without the same efforts as those people.

Yeah I had a feeling that Spencer wasn’t going to be around much longer, and it does suck!

He should write a "fiction" about a singer who hires an undercover cop to kill his wife and then grows man boobs in prison. :D....

We'll he did say this was going to be a series :)
He even made some wildly stupid point about inspiration coming from real life. So the main character of this book is obviously a bass player who takes a lot of drugs, gets fired, gets clean, finds god again, then tells the whole world how excited he is about life all while masquerading as hitman whose identity needs to be hidden. Even if it was a good murder/thriller I'm not sure it's selling well to me right now.

Yeah looking back it seems like maybe the writing was on the wall. I wonder what it was? He was really excited to finally be in the band. Maybe his weed store is just doing really good.

Oh if only we could all have a weed store going well :)

Oh wow! Do I smell a trilogy? :heh: Or maybe something on the scope of War And Peace?

The way he's releasing stuff he could do one for every world tour. Make it a full blown international story where the guy no one recognises has to kill a different bad guy on every different continent every two years. Damn, the book, sorry series, has million seller written all over it!!!

Okay now I've always tried to remain positive about gigs coming back. I figured in time they would come back, even if at a lower capacity. I might even have suggested gigs would come back before many others said. But I have to say I did not see this coming.

Tonight Desecrator announced a gig, not only is it a covid safe gig but its a $25 a ticket, seated at tables, with table service, thrash gig. 12 months ago I'd have never thought I'd see thrash for tables of 4. :)
