The what's going on in Thrash thread

My wife drinks more than I do now...bloody drunk!!
I don't know if I was ever going to end up sick from alcohol (liver damage etc) but I'm glad cut down dramatically. It's weird being on night shift permanently. When a day shift worker comes home at 5(ish) and opens a beer its seems kind of normal, but when you get home at 10am after doing what is your normal day at work it still feels strange opening a beer. I think once that strange feeling goes you realise it's not about the social aspect.
Haha, yeah good point.

Lol I remember that story.

Thankfully Jack Black hasn't come to Australia to hunt him down :)
Although it wouldn't do him much good now since the guy is dead.
It wasn't the drugs that killed him...well it kind of was, he was fell asleep at the wheel driving a long haul truck, but it does show how drugs can fuck up a persons life. A guy that started out an orphan in Australia, was raised by two working class adoptive parents, he got into lighting, moved to the US and became one of the most wanted lighting techs of the 80's and 90's, then he got into drugs and shit went down hill. He didn't even die a rich man, just a man haunted by his own actions and in almost full isolation.

When I bought my Flotsam merch a couple months ago before the album, I bought a shirt and two masks. But I kinda had too because they didn't have much. And lets face it Flotsam could use the dough, they're a small operation. I wish I could have bought more masks lol. They're just for fun though.
But bands like Megadeth and Anthrax, the bigger bands. Fuck them.
At least Flotsam still has underground cred.

My protest about masks isn't against the band (although some of the prices suck!) it's the masks themselves. I hate wearing the things and as much as they are pretty much a normal accessory now, in my mind I don't want to draw attention to it by having advertising on it. I think my mind is satisfied that if someone isn't looking at my mask trying to read what's on it then it's happy not to focus on it being there.

Another reason I gave up drinking to excess was the pain. I never got hang overs, I think I remember getting one when I was about 16, but never again no matter how drunk I got. Then when I turned about 40, can't remember exactly when, I got smashed one night and woke up the next day feeling like I'd been headbutting a brick wall all night. It lasted for 24 hours and nothing helped it. I'm not willing to even try getting smashed these days because getting old sucks!!!

Oh yeah, I got my second Michelle Pfeifer shot yesterday. What a fucking shambles, first they told my wife she hadn't had her first shot, despite the paperwork we had showing she was booked for her second. Then when I got mine it's listed as 2 first shots not a first and a second. My wife got an email saying the vax records were put on her health records. I got nothing. My brother had similar issues when he rocked up for his second and they told him he'd already had it only to find out some how he'd been entered him into the system twice and the system said he got shots 1 and 2 on the same day 3 weeks ago.

Honestly if this country ever gets through this it will be a fucking miracle!! Still I made a concerted effort not to lie on my left arm last night and so far apart from a small pain at the jab spot I'm fine. Not sure when they activate my 5G chip and I start praising Bill Gates, but I'm ready for it!!

You might be able to get a book deal out of that! Sounds more interesting than most of the books out there.

I've ever gotten a hangover. But I have had so much alcohol that I probably should have gone to the hospital. I'm good now with a drink a year, give or take.[/QUOTE]

Up to $250 now. I bought a Cameo for around $100 from a real housewive of NYC for my better half's milestone b-day. Dave is such a tool, I would be pissed if someone paid that sucker to leave me a greeting.

I think his kids are now enjoying the anonymity of not being connected to their father's previous life :)

...and I don't think we all know the half of what shit he got himself into that brought him home.

I drink a little more than that, a few beers during summer and the occasional whiskey every few months but our blood alcohol limit for driving is .05 and I always ensure I'm under that. I have to be 00 when I'm in a truck, but that doesn't happen too much these days.

Book now. $200. Fuck him. People have some egos. Not just him.

Yeah I can't believe people actually pay for this kind of service. Sure their time has a value and they are in the industry to make money but that kind of cash just for a phone call? Shit I'll ring them for half that much!

I miss those games!!

I didn't play a lot of fighting games in the 80's and 90's but I did do car racing games and although some of them look terrible on todays screens they are fun to go back and revisit occasionally.

Is it an auction? I obviously didn't read it very well, but you're right the price is going up and now at $250 it's about $249 more than I would want to pay :)
